| KrnYong chapter 25 . 12/29/2012
Amazing! I read the whole thing with my emotions tied to every word. Éowyn's great sorrows from childhood, and the terrible days of Gríma's leechcraft were so bleak that I had to keep reminding myself of the future. Éowyn is so well-written; her inner strength, her stubbornness and will to do what is right made me admire her even more, and feel sorrow for the horrible things happening to her.
I loved that you had moments of levity even amidst the war, and showed just how noble and kind people can be. Éowyn really deserved to be happy, and Faramir as well. Thank you for writing this.

| Rosamund R chapter 25 . 5/7/2009
I would like to start off by telling you just how amazing this whole thing was to read. Honestly I had always loved the character but you have brought a new love of her life into this old soul. I remember first reading of her when the books first came out. Were it not for my grand-daughter I would not have even found this story, but as I read it aloud to her we both wish to express our joy at reading your wonderfully crafted world. Please continue to write as we will be continueing to read.

Just wanted to say that this is a great stopry and i really enjoyed reading it. I don'ty normally like Eowyn fics because i generally don;t like the way she is written but i feel that you stuck to tolkien's bluprints of the character. Thank you so much for sharing this story.
| 3982 chapter 25 . 7/6/2004
This was a great story! I am so happy that Eowyn finally found her love, instead of her childfood's fear and sorrow...
I kinda confused by timeline, I thought Eowyn met Arwen in Gondor for the first time, in your prior story "In The Forests Of The Night".
I always adore your stories, please keep writing about Eowyn!:)
| Evenstar Elanor chapter 25 . 7/5/2004
sweet ending, focusing on Eowyn, and her newfound happiness in Gondor with Faramir. wow, a thoughtful Eomer... Elfhelm has married! dang i liked Elfhelm! i like how Aragorn remembers Morwen, and it again shows how old he is! (i can't get over it. i know, i know. Dunedain, Descendent of Numenor) sweet ending for an awesome story
| snow-angel222 chapter 25 . 7/5/2004
wow, this is was a good story. You must have read a ton on Lord of the rings and other tolkien books. this was really good, and sad. poor eowyn was so cold but she found Faramir. I really liked your history of her before the ring. Aragorn's a little weird though, he seems kind of um...I don't know the rolling of the eyes was strange. But it was all in all really good. You should keep writing more.

This sounds really interesting and I can't wait to read more!
Keep on writing!

does every title of every chapter have 2 carry some deeper poetic meaning?
i say that out of jealousy, for i just name mine randomly... don't stop doing that!
ah, Grima stalked her... that's freaky. no one should have to endure such.
Elfara was still alive! to be frank, i quite forgot the name, though i remembered the character. "Legolas had me believing that you never wash." Eowyn and Faramir are so cute together...
i love how u contrast the 3 men. Eomer's curiousity and Aragorn's courtesy. only Faramir stood quietly, and it shows why she loves him... please update!
| Evenstar Elanor chapter 23 . 6/21/2004
i like the ending reference to Elrond's sorrow, especially of Arwen's decision. i like how u almost silently compare Arwen 2 Eowyn.
Eowyn is happy! yea!
it was a little confusing, the part between Elrond & Estel about Elfhelm. really confusing, bcuz at first u think itz Elrond & Aragorn speaking, and then somewhere Eowyn comes up.
| Ithlien chapter 22 . 6/19/2004
Lovely chapter. Brillantly written.
| Evenstar Elanor chapter 22 . 6/16/2004
you are soo well versed.. not cool. good chapter. i like, "Aye, my only sister intends to abandon me for a Gondorian, so strong are our bonds of affection." and how Elrohir (or was it Elladan) said that Arwen was too... shows that Gondorians are very attractive! i think that it just "linked" Eomer & the elves a bit more, bcuz they seem so different on the outside, but once u get into the heart, they have things in common.
i like how Eowyn feels inferior around the Elven ladies, and i especially took note of the part of the horses. "they were beautiful, and undoubtedly fast," but she didn't see the same heart in them as she did the horses of Rohan. deep and develops Eowyn's character. i love the last line of the chapter. " She stood facing south, and whispered a few words of love into the wind, hoping it might bear them to his ears."
| Evenstar Elanor chapter 21 . 6/12/2004
yes... i recognized the title, though i could not think of who the poem was by. i only knew the 1st 2 lines. i like how Eowyn's freedom craving comes out fully in this one. i like, "Always it was just beyond the horizon, mocking her, for she could feel its nearness – it sang beneath her skin." and finally, the story of Eomund and Theodwyn and Eomer's grief, Aragorn's consult. it's very well-rounded. Faramir soon? i expect? ::looks regretful:: (i don't like Eowyn/Faramir... jealousy)
| Lady Lanet chapter 2 . 6/7/2004
Poor Eowyn! i bet alot of us know what THAT feels like! Anyways, this is a good story!
