This is wonderful! I enjoyed it a lot!

I definitely liked this bit of "filling in the blanks" in regards to the palantir in "The Two Towers". You have a nice writing style and it was a pleasure to read and not be distracted by typographical, grammatical and punctuation errors.
Very nice work on depicting the alternating feelings of guilt and duty in Aragorn as well.
I will be reading your other works as time permits.
| Thorongirl chapter 1 . 4/5/2005
Your stories are so seamlessly put together and this is no exception. And the scene in ROTK where Aragorn wrests the palintir from Pippin was SO intriguing, yet, in my opinion, was never followed up on properly. I mean, Aragorn rushes in, grasps the palintir form Pippin's hands, and collapses into Legolas' arms. And THAT WAS ALL? Who of us, upon seeing the rather cluelessly gorgeous Aragorn collapse, didn't want to know more about what happened. Thus, my thanks to you for providing the filler scene. Beautifully written, Aragorn selfless as always, Legolas, the ever concerned friend. The glimpse you gave us into Sauron's evil, as manifested in Aragorn's dream, was chilling. I loved the last paragraph wherein Legolas thinks of his long-ago pledge to himself to remain faithful to Aragorn to the end. Superbly done.

great story, it was really good.

Incredible. You have captured so very well the relationship between Aragorn and Legolas. I love how you portray them.
I cannot read the other story...the one of Legolas going to the Undying Lands. It breaks my heart the way JRRT 'ended' the story, and I wind up crying my eyes out. But, I know that it must be well written, and deeply stirring to the soul for everything you write is. :)
Thank you so much for sharing your incredible story-telling with us.

That was a cool little fic, I love in RotK how Aragorn looks all shaky after handling the Palantir in the movie. Nice little plotbunnies coming from that. I thought this was very good, albeit short (chapter wise :) and I would love to read more from u. Hannon le. ~Roccovende

a wonderful story, loved how you have done both Aragorn and Legolas, and how you managed to put together the movie and the book.
now on a more personal note, what action figure did you get? i wanted to buy one myself, but did not because he was missing his sword. but i did recieve for christmas a cardboard cutout, which i just love. looking forward to your next story
| Deana chapter 1 . 2/11/2004
That was excellent! Great job! :)
| Lina Skye chapter 1 . 2/11/2004
nice! I love it. It truly shows Estel and Legolas at their best...or worst...whichever is great. I LOVED IT. I look forward to Scars.
| Elenora1 chapter 1 . 2/11/2004
This was a wonderful vignette! The scene in the movie where Aragorn seeks to help Pippin, yet gets overcome by the palantir as well, is so very short and we never do get to see how that affects him...this short glimpse into that scene helps to flesh it out and I could easily see this as a continuation of that scene in the movie. And I like the way you ended it, with the subtle tie-in to what we don't see in the movie but do read in the book: that Aragorn does look through the palantir and allows Sauron to know that he is alive and coming to defy him. I like that seamless way to tied both movie and book together! Don't know if that was intentional or not, but I liked it!
I've enjoyed your stories before (Relesen) and I look forward to reading more of your work.

OOh! I really liked this! It was a wonderful gap-filler. You did a superb job conveying the friendship between Legolas and Aragorn and reading it was so very enjoyable! *sigh* You really should write and post more often, ya know that? ;) (HINT, HINT!) LOL
