Not a bad start. I feel you handled the awkwardness of the situation quite well and it's nice to read a "Xander is Jack's unknown son" fic that's much more serious than Dogbert Carrol's fic.

Quick guess at how this story ends. Since the watchers council is so obviously more awesome than everyone else in this story they are going to take over the sgc from the military. Now they can use their awesomeness to protect the galaxy! No? Youve certainly been inferring that these 22 year olds are more competent than anyone else on the planet so why not just say fuck the sgc? Let the REAL heroes handle it. Nevermind that the main techniques they use to hunt monsters are luck and the power of friendship.

I challenge you to write a crossover between these two stories that doesnt heavily favor the scoobies. Maybe a little balance instead of slanting towards your (very clear) preferences and biases.

Jesus Christ. The hypocrisy of the slayer people is incredible. Sg1 are asking legitimate questions about shit on their home planet that might actually help people. While Buffy and co are saying shit like 'stop digging into our business while we do our best to dig into yours'. Nevermind that the business of sg1 is heavily classified and none of their fucking business. Their stance of 'fuck the government, we got this' is naive at the very best. You've got two people covering ALL OF AFRICA. I dont know if you know this, but Africa is a fairly big place.

A bunch of stuffy assholes who thought they knew better. That sounds about right. Lets replace them with an organisation with zero funding, barely any training, and (like the stuffy assholes) they think they know better. But dont worry! Despite all of the other issues they actually care! That makes up for the fact that less than 50 people are supposed to cover and protect 6 continents.

Were we really as awful as I remember? Yes. When you were teenagers it was acceptable that you acted like know-it-all douchebags. Most teenagers act like that. Now that you are adults the rest of us are no longer required to forgive you for it. And condescending to people who dont believe in monsters is just being an asshole. If not believing in monsters makes you stupid I guess 99% of people in the buffy-verse are just ignorant dickheads who should just shut up and listen to their betters (Who are not even halfway through their twenties).

This story is really starting to grate on me. The whole "youre a piece of shit for not believing in monsters" is really fucking childish. Also it seems like Jack is doing his best to get to know his son in spite of all the suspicious shit going on while xander and company are looking for literally any reason to hate him. This whole story is decidedly one sided and I feel like Jack is being judged very harshly while xander and company are acting like assholes. The whole "I know better than you" gets old very fucking quickly and since they claim to be grown ass adults now maybe they shouldnt be acting like self-centered children.

If you dont believe in vampires then you dont know me. That might be some of the dumbest logic I've seen in a long time.

So are they treating a stranger like shit for a reason? Or are you just trying to make them look like unlikable assholes?

ive never read this story before but i feel i have to comment. this mostly seems like a story where you are trying to say the Buffy people are too amazing and those shitty SGC people (and everyone else) should just fucking accept it. the Buffy people are coming off like condescending douchebags and the SGC people arent getting any love.
