![]() ![]() ![]() where is Lily now? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great fic. Such a creative idea. This whole story seems really well-thought-out and well-written. I think this is more than enough on its own, but I have to read the other stories too now. Thanks. |
![]() ![]() ![]() For Harry not to bear the consequences of his actions it’s a statement that the lives of the muggles he tortured to death don’t matter. I wonder how many women he raped. He deserves lots and lots of time in the slammer. Harry stopping the war was not an act of selflessness, it was all about revenge. He is not a good guy, no matter how well he treats Ginny. Ginny is young and has huge blinders on. Kind of smacks of Stockholm Syndrome. She seems to know he’s raped several women. “I wasn’t as careful not to hurt the others,”. She ought to be repulsed. She has to be confused, but it’s not presented that way. Oh, and by the way, he raped Ginny. IT WAS RAPE, IT IS WRONG NO MATTER WHAT. The story through Ginny sweeps that under the rug. It makes Ginny seem too forgiving too quickly, confused and happy at the same time, and in a fog of “love”. A relationship that starts as a rape is just wrong. (And she lies to both herself and her family about it. Ahhhh!) I know the point of the story was Harry’s redemption. It’s just geez, what is the origin of his redemption? He doesn’t have any regret for the atrocious things he’s done. His magic gets out of control. (It would be like being in a relationship with Stephen King’s “Carrie” for Pete’s sake.) Smoking bodies reduced to ash ought to horrify Ginny, maybe even snap her ought if her “love” fog. The Weasleys are right to be more than worried, he’s too dangerous. The best part of this piece was Lily and James’ stories. That was true love, with real sacrifice based in love, real loss. That what makes this story worthy of a (very) quick read. Not Harry and Ginny. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is GOOD! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I truly injoyed the story but it has a slight stockhome syndrome vibe |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well, that changed pathetic awfully fast. Such a great lack of depth of character. Just another redemption story. Please do put a warning for any future stories released of same kind. Considering that this was from ten years ago. That's quite amazing. So don't reply. Just a notation. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I was cringing the whole time, you're kinda banalizing and excusing rape. I know they're characters, but come on. Ginny is pretty OOC by not fighting Harry: she might have (apparently, though it's not explicit) enjoyed towards the end, but he was still raping her by abusing a position of power, Ginny wouldn't have let that slide, she's no Mary Sue |
![]() ![]() ![]() It was so great, I loved this fanfic :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, that was a new take on Lily's sacrifice, very original... very moving chapter, although sad, you really manage to portray Harry's and Lily's relationship, she was the one who saved him in more ways than one, such strong emotions, the pensive memory wasa brilliant plot device, you portray Harry's ( and James') great grief and their strong love for Lily so vividly... so sad... but, I am glad that Harry and James at least now have found each other, I like how you have taken the HP characters ( Voldy, Harry, Ginny, Lily and the maradauers) and made your own universe, for example Peter's betrayal and Lily's sacrifice, and the making of Harry's scar... how, he also here, will be Voldy's bane... and, compared to the canon, this story is much more a romance... For a while, I thought that Harry really was Voldy's son with Lily, I had still loved him, but I am glad that it turned out to be James and that he is alive... original take on dark harry, raised by Voldy ( although he is not really dark here, his raisning by Lily has presereved the good in him)... Have you read Kurinoone's amazing Dark Prince trilogy? Her stories also revolve around a "dark" Harry ( son of James and Lily, who both are alive, but for a long time think that Harry is dead) raised by Voldy because of the betrayal/kidnapping of him as a child by Peter, and it also eventually has a Harry/Ginny pairing... but yet, your stories are quite different... your writing style, and the plot-line is very original, the romance, Harry's love for his mother... the revenge... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, that was dramatic, very moving story, and very romantic... a new take on the Harry and Ginny painring ( and much better than Rowling's version of it, actually), in canon, their relationship just suddenly appears... it seems forced, somehow, just taken out of thin air, here, you portray their growing romantic feelings for each other much more in depth, very realistically, despite the odd circumstances ( which makes it all the more interesting), a true romance, very moving, thank you. By this story, you have made me a Harry/Ginny shipper! Your characters come alive...Now , I am looking forward to read the sequel, I hope you complete it soon. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, so now Ginny meets Harry... he seems to have taken a strong liking to her, does she remind him of his mother, with the red hair? Very interesting start... you portray emotions very well... |
![]() ![]() ![]() As amazing story! I was in tears for most of the it. Great characterizations. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You probably don't read your reviews anymore, but I felt compelled to write one anyway. I enjoyed your fic a lot. It was smartly written, the plot was not convoluted or to simplistic. Your representation of dark Harry was believable, and his motives were understandable. The romance was not to overwhelming making this to fluffy. You knew were to put pieces of drama and angst. The story might've suede a little bit more of action. The final battle was a little anticlimactic, but I understand that this was not something that you considered important. I look forward to read the sequel even if it was not finished |
![]() ![]() So, rape is okay as long as it is done as gently as possible? I'm sorry, that isn't the way things work. Barring something like Stockholm Syndrome (which apparently needs to be said- is NOT a good thing), women do not forgive and fall in love/into a relationship with their rapists. Furthermore, hitting someone because they aren't listening to what you're saying when you want them to..also very much NOT okay. I get what you wanted to do with this story, but I just can't get past those aspects. This may be fiction, but this kind of attitude toward abuse and especially toward rape is what allows these things to be so prevalent in real life. People need to understand that rape is ALWAYS wrong. Trying to romanticize it in any way is just..irresponsible, at the very least. |
