My two favorite One Piece pirates, and non-yoai too! Well written, great IC actions, and easy flow in drama. Just got to love the Zoro and Sanji interaction.

My word this is dark! But who doesn't like a good torture fic now and again? Poor Sanji-kun.

Allow me to say that I'm glad this is only a nakama fic and not yaoi, as I'm not a fan of that, but aside from that one complaint, the rest of your story is in my eyes flawless. Not only are Sanji and Zoro dead-on character wise (a little dark at times, but that's expected considering...) but your original characters fit right in and aren't stupidly strong/smart/etc.

This is one of the best One Piece fics out there in terms of plot as well. Yes it doesn't feature all of the crew, but that wasn't intended in the first place. An amazing piece. _

Love how they're all looking to him, and how you captured that other aspect to Luffy, behind his normal carefree cherfulness.

Heh. Oh, yes, we know what happens when Luffy gets that look. And since we'd rather have everybody and the island stay in one piece, he'd better get defused and quick. And him in non-'holy crap'-mode is exactly what Sanji really needed.

Ooh, look, Zoro actually didn't have to cause rampant property destruction. Knew I liked those kids for a reason.

Yep, that of all things...well. We've seen what happens to this crew when they know their own are in danger. Even weakened as he is...oh, yes, Sanji would've taken a toll. Pity they couldn't have known.

And...oh, hell. When Zoro reaches his limit, he reaches his /limit/. But when they know he's not that kind of man...erk.

And Sanji...owie. If he gets through this without PTSD, then /nothing's/ gonna be able to get to him this badly again.

Just giving fair warning that this isn't a "kissing book". And I'd like to thank you for that. 'S much more interesting.

And again, you have to love how Zoro's first thought is how fast he'll have to jump to catch him forst...

I can see now why the priest said no one survives without an attendent. If you don't have anyone to pull you back from the edge, both literally and figuratively...br.

Huh. But...Luffy wouldn't have had his head caved in. Doesn't work. People've tried that. Poor Sanji's really been through the wringer; can't really blame him for not thinking, especially with his head having been played with like that. There's a reason for that memory gap.

Heh. And Zoro has the point exactly right. Even /if/...it wouldn't make sense for him to throw the last of them away.

Mm. I've had times like that - obviously not as extreme - where knowing it doesn't matter, that it's stupid, still /doesn't/ help you get over the emotional reaction. Not fun. At all.

I swear those kids are adorable. And the girl's little outburst was quite informative.

Heh. It's always a little jarring to be reminded of the difference between Luffy's crew and most of the pirates out there. Which is probably as it should be, since real pirates were a lot more like the less savory ones...

Now /what/ is he up to? 'Cuz Sanji and others are going to be highly annoyed at him if it's what it looks like.
