![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you soo much for the story! I really enjoyed reading it! I am a true yaoi fan, but also like non-yaoi and I must say this is balanced very well, though I can see where some people would be like, "no! Don't turn away and be an ass! Hold him close and comfort and love him!" but that would be more fandom personality then canon characters so I like your story! Also I don't think it was that sad, I mean it was sad and poor Sanji! But I've read worse so your not a horrible person! Though it is sad to think about those fake memories that will forever be with him... Well, anyways! A job well done and I hope you wife many other lovely OP stories! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow. Just...wow. There are so few stories that pull off such depression and characterization and blatant torture quite so WELL. Coupled with the apt happy ending, you've got quite the impressive masterpiece. Kudos! |
![]() ![]() I love it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() AAAAAAAAAAA!SANJI! Love the story, although it did freak me out at times.:) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I can't read multi-chapter fics in one go, but I found myself trying to finish this is one sitting, and without skipping over anything, to my credit. Because every interaction between Zoro and Sanji was worth too much. Yaoi fics aren't my thing and I'd think in any other case, the intimacy you described would've me stopping reading this fic, BUT THIS WAS TOO GOOD and felt too... real, I suppose? Sometimes I felt that they weren't in-character but what works is that you make all the OOC parts too convincing (and too sob-inducing, dammit.); after all, they weren't in the most hilarious of situations where they're trying to kick each other's butts. The plot was mind-blowingly great and well thought out and I liked all of the OCs. Brilliant fic. |
![]() ![]() ![]() :D LOVELY! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love this story but umn the links for the pics wont work |
![]() ![]() Wow. I am seriously impressed with this fanfic. I loved how in character Zoro and Sanji were. I loved this fanfic very much and bookmarked it. The angsty torture was soo good that I would continously re-read those passages. I recomended this fanfic to my sister. But damn. This is probably the best fanfic I have ever read. Thank you so much for making such an honorable plot and finishing your fanfic beautifuly. :) |
![]() ![]() wow i really liked this. |
![]() ![]() ![]() THAT WAS AMAZING! I CAN'T STOP CRYING, OH MY GOD! I'm practically speechless! It was just so moving and powerful, seeing Sanji get so broken, but having Zoro there to help him survive it all. I don't care if there wasn't any romance in this, this was a WONDERFUL story that I couldn't NOT read! Stayed up reading it till 5am, I couldn't look away for a second! I loved this. All of it. Definitely a story I'll be remembering for a long time. |
![]() ![]() ![]() So I've just finished reading this fic for probably the fifth or sixth time, but since I have an account now, it'd be absolutely remiss of me not to comment. Let me just preface this by saying that, when I get the hankering for a One Piece fic, this is my first stop almost every time. I love it. I can read it over and over, but it's never any less good than the first time, regardless of whether I know how it goes and ends. I'm probably guilty of skimming a little when I do know what I'm looking for, though (the angst, haha!), but I tried to be extremely thorough since I knew I would comment this time. The plot of Seven Deaths is well thought-out, excellently paced, and it certainly wouldn't be amiss in-canon. It's always fun to get to the later chapters where the real tort- I mean, uh, real excitement begins, but every paragraph (and sometimes every line, even) has some strikingly in-character bit. It'd drive me insane (and probably you too, if you were to read my review) if I were to recount every instance, but one of my favorite lines is in the first chapter after the one priest explained that Sanji touched the priestess "foully and in the presence of others". Zoro's response cracks me up. "Did he." It's not written as a question, which makes it easier to imagine his face upon delivery. Flat. Like he's not at all surprised (which is solidly in character besides being generally hilarious). Working from Zoro's perspective, your style in general is spot on. It's descriptive and intelligent, but uncomplicated, and filled with little mental notes that he'd probably make-like that bit about the mosaic ceiling having "some deep spiritual significance if you were a lunatic priest". So enough detail is revealed while still retaining a kind of... bluntness? Brevity? Zoro-ness? ...It just works, man. Beyond just loving your portrayal of the canon characters, I grew to really like the OCs. I often choke on original characters, but I liked yours a whole lot-particularly the high priest. Of course, it was hard to like him (given the circumstances) until the thirteenth chapter, but once I understood his backstory it put a whole new facet onto his personality. One of his lines is actually my favorite in the whole fic- "But the ocean is cruel and merciless as she is beautiful and giving; she brought us here, and he died here, and I'll always hate her, too." That line completely made his character for me. And the goddess, too. Her apology was perfect closure as far as the "villains" of this tale go. I don't want to drone on since I know you've probably gotten showered with praise for this story already, but just because I missed it the first few times, I wanted to point out that one little bit before the Strawhats join the feast. When Zoro is thinking that he could lay the blame for Sanji's injury on the Satvans/Satvani/Satvanese? and Luffy would tear them apart. I'm ashamed that I didn't notice it earlier. It's sudden and brief and dark and perfect. Because they hurt Zoro's friend, dammit, and he was still angry. Which brings me to (oh god, am I still going?) the interactions with Zoro and Sanji. Anything even remotely intimate between the two of them can be considered out of character, but I watched Thriller Bark arc ending a few days ago, and the feeling is there. Not the gay, but just... you know, they really do care about each other. Their rivalry is over the top and played for violent laughs, but I think given the right circumstances, your interpretaion would be just about a match. And even though I do like yaoi fics, I like this even better. It's more genuine, I think. SO, if it's not already abundantly clear, I love your fic. It's great. The bee's knees, the cat's pajamas, etc. Thank-you for writing it. I could go on, but I won't. I think I've written enough already. (But seriously, thanks.) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Really enjoyable story. :) Good job! |
![]() ![]() Awesome story! |
![]() ![]() I loved the bromance in this fic. It's subdue enough to be seen as friendship but just slashy enough to tease the reader. Though I usually ship Zoro and Sanji Romanticly, there is something really touching about a platonic brotherly bond as well. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This story was great! It was full of comfort! (sorry ulif that sounds stupid) I enjoyed every part in it! |
