Finally! after 14 long, torturously wonderfully chapters, we have a kiss!

Goodness, this is beyond the best chapter you have written. The whole affair with Abigail was so well written and you ended it perfectly. Abigail is now my favorite OC ever. I hated her so much than after this chapter I felt so bad for !

now the depth of Holmes's love was beautifully revealed. the analogy with ying and yan was especially have a wonderfull (Terrible?) way of ending chapters, it just blows my mind .oh, I cant wait till you update again! and it better be soon or else *shakes fist threatningly*

Beauitfully written, remarkable as always. I am at a loss for words. You are a true genius with your pen. Bravo and I hope for another update as soon as possible.

This chapter really was excellent. There was action, suspense, romance, scandal...everything anyone could ask for in just one chapter. However, the cliffhanger was a rather nasty surprise.

I must ask, though I feel it may make me seem unintelligent. What is Watson going to do? Is he going to leave England, as you said he could, try to start anew. Well, I'm guessing that if he did that, Josh may play a large part once again.

It is so strange. Josh has been part of the main, central plot, yet we do not see as much of him as before, or maybe I should say read.

When they kissed, though...it was an amazing feeling. I had to turn my head away to control my giddiness. It's as if, just because they kissed, we know that any problem of theirs will be resolved.

I must apologize for not reviewing the other two chapters. I suppose I can only blame it on my laziness. If I'm not mistaken, is that not a sin? Sloth? I'm not very well-versed in any religion, so I do not know of such things. Of course, that made it the more interesting to read this chapter. Well, I shall not waste anymore of your time. Please update quickly again!

WOW. Wow, I really mean, wow. Well, I'm not being particularly eloquent, am I. But this chapter is awesome. You know, I even felt a bit sorry for Abigail. And Holmes explaining his love - I just have no words. It was perfect.

And the kiss - oh my...

Let me say once more that your story is just brilliant - utterly captivating and truly inspired. And great job with the footnotes, by the way (since I've never commented on them and they fully deserve it).

Abigail's story was truly tragic. I was expecting it to be something like that, but I never imagined you would be able to bring it to life in such a way. Reading about her son was so sad.

excellent standoff between holmes and abigail, both the exciting battleness of it and her humanness... i had no idea any of those revelations were coming, except the fact of the son's existence... wow. the shock of that moment is great- i can picture that scene...

abigail's confession... i sort of spent it wondering whether people *really* do that- the sudden switch of address to the wronged person in a situation of great guilt. it seemed a little unlikely, and a bit too much like a writing device begging for pathos. otherwise though, absolutely awesome.

would cousins have been considered incestuous at that time? certainly through much of the nineteenth century, cousin marriages were considered perfectly fine, and even advantageous from a financial perspective... i'm not sure when it started to become frowned on... was it illegal then? and would it really have inspired that much shock?

and of course... that kiss. ) ) ) (*grins like an idiot*) that was so... cute. hee. seriously, its really amazing what you've done here- the fact that you can make H/W both a believable and a hoped-for outcome to this is simply amazing. awesome job.

"And like Solomon, my child was being punished for my own sins." It was David who was punished for adultery committed with Bathseba: his firstborn child with Batsheba died soon after his birth. Their second son was Solomon - born legally -was a very lucky guy in his entire life.

hey. I love this fic, it's written so well and in the style fo sir conan doyle. heh so well in fact that,as we're doing sherlock holmes in a class of mine, i decided to go off to find some fiction, sherlock and watson havign way to much angst between them for there not to be any fanfiction... long story short, i ended up mixing your story with one of the others and ... heh well lucky my teacher hasn't read many sherlock holmes tales -0 so yeah, this is a great story, very very beliavable as the case maybe in my situation.
