![]() ![]() ![]() It always hurts when you lose your work. :( Glad to see you're coping, though. And I hope to read a new chapter of Source soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() There are several names for the Egyptian cat goddess. Bastet is the most well known but others include...Bast, Ubasti, Ba en Aset and Pasch. So you weren't really wrong...just thought you might want to know. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah! Now it all comes clear. The problems between Dark Witch and the Dark Magician can all be chalked up to sibling rivalry! Can't wait to read more! Update soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I think I know the reason you want to set the Dark Magician's hat on fire... He looks so *hot* without it on. *smirk* Not many men can make lavender hair work for them. *sighs dreamily* |
![]() ![]() ![]() dark witch and dark magician are siblings? unexpected... |
![]() ![]() ![]() oh gosh... you updated... found out through the author alert... :P loved it... so now i know... although i will go after you to update , i won't force... since i am a writer myself. ![]() ![]() ![]() ... the authoress have a yami? *0_0* |
![]() ![]() ![]() I personally thought the scene with Rex and Weevil in their boxers was hilarious! And your Bakura-kitty pics were *so* sweet... *Sighs dreamily* |
![]() ![]() ![]() Found something to comment on - wonder of wonders... Both Bast and Bastet are technically correct. I believe Bast was used first and then later changed to Bastet, however. Kind of like Istanbul was once called Constantinople, and I think, before that, Persia. Or maybe not. _~ Definitions: Yaoi - Guy/Guy pairings, more hardcore. Herein you find limes, lemons and other sour fruits - or at least a definite relationship and some making out. Shounen-ai - Guy/Guy pairings, more softcore. Focusing more on romance. Herein you find fluff, occasional declarations of love, cuddling, the occasinal kiss - and not always a definite relationship. You seem to be treading the fine line between friendship and shounen-ai with Ryou/Bakura. Very hard to do, I must say. Bakura Muse: I personally want more action! Me: Hush, you're getting plenty of action in my upcoming story 'Thief of my Heart'. Bakura Muse: As a *girl*! I got enough of that with Shadow's Mirror and Ochodre. Ryou Muse: Pipe down. Shadow's Mirror can write what she wants. *Mumbles* Even if I *also* would like more action. Bakura Muse: *Not just hair, but also ears like bat* *Points at Ryou* Hah! See? Ryou Muse: *Blushes* Me: Er...yeah. I'm sure you know this happens occasionally - characters taking over stories...or reviews, or homework, or grocery lists... Anyway, one last thing - love the running joke of the Dark Magician's hat getting set on fire. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ::applauds:: This was an unususla episode. . . well, that's the best word I can think of anyway. What an entertaining flame! You didn't tell me about this one! ::sits down and warms her hands over DM's hat:: Ah, I see why you like to burn this so much, it's nice! Still, what a shame to waste such a lovely purple garment. . . Er, anyway. . . this was very entertaining. I can't wait to see more! |
![]() ![]() Akira: *is in a anchor's booth at Gem Ariel Stadium* Great Job! This's the first time I've read one your stories. Everyone her give Shadow's Mirror a hand shall we? *sounds of thousands of applause is heard* Amy: *grins and adjusts microphone headpiece* I gotta agree. Nice! Radiant! Excellent! I also like because it has the Dark Magician in it. *draws out picture of the Dark Magician and swoons* Oh. Akira:*shakes head* Man, she's at it again*puts megaphone to mouth* Keep writing while I knock my step-sister out of swoon mode and go back anchoring. *suddenly lights go out and screaming and sounds of ki blasts are heard* The bloody hell! DAMMIT! OI! ALVIN TURN ON LIGHTS! *lights turn on* Thank-THE FRICKIN' BLOODY 'EL! EVERYONE HIT THE DECKK! *everyone in the stadium ducks* *KABOM! Akira: *looks at the now ruined stadium* Damn! WHO THE HELL IS GONNA PAY FOR THIS! OI GUYS WE GOT WORK TO DO! AND NO STEALING WEAPONS OR INSTALLING THEM! * turns and stares* You're still here? OI TURN THE REVIEWING TRASMISSION CAMERAS JOEY! *cameras turn off and nothing but black and white staic is seen* |
![]() ![]() ![]() A HP/YuGiOh Crossover now? Even though it's not anime, I think that it's a great idea, overdone or not. Being a slasher at heart, I can't help but hope that you'll write some shonen-ai in that fic between the HP characters too. Maybe Harry and Draco? They're almost opposites, kinda like Kura and Ryou are opposites, except they're both on equal footing. Anyhow, you're not going to write the fic until Library is finished. Can't wait to see how you'll write them! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Heh, fnny. Bakura is such a dope. Good writing, though. One thing, with Egyptian deities, the names change a lot, like Apep or Apopis. They're both the same snake god. Bast is the original spelling used in Bubastis, the later foreign rule changed the name to Bastet. (Bubastis is the center of Bast worship, hence the name). If you would like to argue your point or talk, email me at P.S Love your fic Conversations. Simply marvelous and clever! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Whoo! A kiss and the words! ::grin:: Anyway. I noticed in here that you say you don't write yaoi, and I'll agree with you on that. To me, also, yaoi implies a very physical relationship being shown. However, the term "shounen ai" can very easily apply to the fluffy fluffy boy love you have in Source. You prolly already knew it, but itwasn't mentioned with the yaoi so I figured I'd mention it. Also! Somebody corrected me, and I have to say sorry for giving you wrong info in my last review of Source. Chibi is, in fact, a noun. The only problem is that chibi means "dwarf" or "runt," not "child." But, eh, it's commonly used in the fandom, so I guess it doesn't really matter. XP Yuugi's mom. . . she shows up in the manga. Even has spoken lines! I've seen it. Also, in the anime, while she doesn't speak as far as I've seen, she's actually drawn in one or two rare scenes. Let's see. . . there's a hospital scene, I forget which episode. Possibly the one when Grandpa gets his soul back. Anyway, in the hospital room with him is a woman with red hair, whom I think is Yuugi's mom. I could, of course, be completely wrong. But I do know she's in the manga, and I'm pretty sure that's her there in that insignificant scene of the anime. Anyway. Love your fics, hope you don't find my reviews to be too annoying. ~Sam |
![]() ![]() ![]() ::cracks up:: That was a delight to read! Especially since I already knew how you write and get ideas and such, it was refreshing and fun to see you explain it in this manner. Of course, I absolutely adore how you write Dark Witch, I've never seen anyone else grant the monsters any sort of personality or role in the story aside from cameos. ::blinks at a loud "ahem!":: ::sigh:: Um, Shadow's Mirror? The characters are speaking to me when they really shouldn't be. . . but yes, I love Dark Magician as well, and Nemuroko, and Fusionist (I hope I'm getting names right!) and all the rest! But Dark Witch outshines them all. For example, the ending of this story while predictable, ::grins at DM:: was a delight to read! It was seasoned with just the right amount of anticipation. Dark Witch was true to her word. SHE didn't do a thing to Dark Magician's hat! But she never said anything about not havin someone else do it for her. . . I had a wonderful time laughing at this, it was highly entertaining! Very well done, my friend! Oh, that reminds me! I kind of left Bakura all tied up a while back, then never told you what happened - and I'm sure that he's too embarrassed to share. I'll have to tell that story soon. . . ;D |
