I've finished 'Shadow' now and started reading 'Restraint' on scimitar smile. I dont know how, but you make me reading on and on, and even when only Al and Winry are presented, you enthrall me. I love your way of describing some actions or thoughts in such detail that I can clearly imagine them. I like that the story is a mix of action, drama, angst, fluff and humor. And oh your characterization is just perfect 3 thank you for writing

I love the characterization in this story, how Edward is more mature but still has that spark of his, and how Mustang just seems jaded. The team getting split up also adds a sense of realism to all of this.

This is indeed a fantastic story! I don't know why it isn't mentioned here in this last posted chapter, but the finished story is archived at Scimitar's Smile (link in Sol1056's profile, or use google). Measure was turned into the epilogue of the arc though.

I've been pleasantly surprised by this story considering that when I started reading I had no idea what it was going to be about. It's very well written and the characterization is interesting and has depth. Can't wait to see what twists the plot will take.

Great Arc- I'd love to see more of this and find out how the story ends. I love the mix of humor and serious topics- very reminiscent of FMA, itself. Mustang and Ed are amazing in this- the characterization is great. They've grown, and continue to grow. I hope there's more of this to come. Thanks for sharing! :)

I'm very pleased to see this story appear here, having read the first two parts over at Scimitar Smile; it's an excellent AU and a very well-written character study. I'm not a fan of Roy and Ed as a romantic pairing, but I do enjoy pieces that examine how they might fight their way through to a friendship. Your assured style and well-organized plotting are an example to everyone attempting a novel-length 'fic. Very well done.

What do you mean that's the end of part one? please tell me if you've written any more of this story even if it be on another site as it's so enthralling I need to read more. The 'cure for headaches' I found particularly good.

I noticed that people who were alike tend to either hate each other or love each other(even if only in a 'best friend' sort of way)...like Ed and Mustang. They're too complicated for their own good, though. Although, you have to admit that they have legitimate reasons...sorry about the Mac thing, by the way.
