I loved the ending in particular and I am so happy I have the book now. Thank you for not killing Carl.
| Midnight-Ophelia chapter 23 . 9/1/2004
Hey, sorry that I haven't reviewed for a whille. I have been reading your story up till now. I can't wait till your sequel! It's going to be great! i can't beleve that story is already almost over it seems like you just started it.
I have to go, I' at the computer lab at school.
Ps:OCTOBER? THE MOVIE DOESN'T COME OUT ON DVD TILL OCTOBER!
Oh and I have the Game at home and I've almost finished it. I'm the secound to last level. Trying to beat Aleera. How far have u gotten?
| Grissom chapter 23 . 9/1/2004
All right! New chapter! And a great one too! Morgan's dead, and in a very 'nice' way too! Carl got his little friar payback, and Van Helsing got to deliver the final blow! Great stuff! And that's nice that you always look forward to reviews. I do that too, not that I always get them. I also like to leave long reviews - not to stand out, if that's what you're thinking - but to get out what I want to 'say'.
And no one blames you for not killing Carl. It's too hard to do, besides the fact that you'd have to deal with an angry Carl-loving mob at your doorstep! Killing off Carl is...well it would spoil your sequel! We'd all miss the lovable teddy-bear of comic relief that is Carl!
Very much looking forward to both the sequel and the final chapter! I've been reading "Dracula" for the first time - behind a good bit, I know - but so far it seems very good! If you want to comment on the book, feel free. I'll have it finished by the end of the day today!
And the X-Files was great, up to Season Six. After that...flushed down to proverbial toilet. My personal favorites include "The Ghosts Who Stole Christmas", "Arcadia", and the one where they're in Florida during the hurricane. Good stuff there! As for my X-Files fics: no, I didn't take them off of the net completely. They're under my old penname that I've semi-abandoned. I'm actually going to get on there again the finish some of the stuff that was left 'WIP' when I decided to leave it. I had just put way too much on my plate and couldn't keep up with demand. So now I pace myself and am much happier with my work. If you really want to read them...well, type in "Only Her" in the search for X-Files stories and you should be able to find out the penname. That story was actually a companion piece to another fic, but anyway!
As for my own Van Helsing fic, I am adding an OC that may be of interest to a certain character. I'm hoping it doesn't end up 'Mary-Sue', but then again I've never worried about that. I'm not too knowledgable on what counts as a Mary-Sue, but I'm guessing it's like putting a super-version of yourself into your stories to show everyone else up? If that's the case, no, I have nothing to worry about. It's just an original character with her own strengths and weaknesses who is definetely NOT me! Otherwise I'd have to...edit the character's speech at times! *laughs* Correct me if I'm wrong, but since you've agreed to beta (right? Please, please?) you can let me know what you think of her.
And yeah, I'm getting most of the story finished before publishing it. I've done WIP's before, and I'd just rather have the next part ready, rather that semi-rush through it. Then I can keep the update times kinda constant throughout. Know what I mean?
Anyway, hoping for a short interval between YOUR update times!
Gris (who is also not of legal drinking age, but will hit New Orleans again once she is!)

NICE! Thank you for giving Carl a shot! He so deserved it! Loved the comment about aerodynamic robes! OW! EVIL cliff hanger! All I have to say is (in Ricky Ricardo voice), "you got some 'splain to do!" I am looking forward to the end (as you mentioned, all good things end) and to any stories you may write in the future. You are a very talented writer and make the characters come to life. Thank you for such a wonderful story. -S.
| fanfiction fanatic chapter 23 . 8/31/2004
yeah i wouldn't either, and my raction would be about the same, but i did love the end of Morgan and i can't wait for the next chap, well continue soon...bye
| HyperCaz chapter 23 . 8/31/2004
great chapter. I cheered when Morgan died. yay. I feel like celebrating.
I haven't seen Dogma, but I've heard about it. *shrugs* It'd be funny to turn my backyard into HyperCaz Land or something.
I don't really think I'd write a decent Van Helsing/Hellboy fic...(I'd keep getting distracted by romance, I tell you) but I'd like to try when my stupid exams are over (two glorious weeks. GAH!) But hey, I get 4 days off. *grins to self* Now I'm waiting out for any sort of sequel to this fic...
But I'm not pressuring you...not not at all...
| Terion chapter 23 . 8/31/2004
EVIL CLIFFHANGER OF DOOM! *glares at it*
Sorry, had to do that... And now I feel the sudden urge to listen to the VH soundtrack (which I just bought).
Can't wait till next chapter!
| J chapter 23 . 8/31/2004
actually, i don't think Sommers have any say on the design of the DVD covers (so the grenade would be wasted better on those that WORK on the DVD).
Hellsing, worth the 13 eps of it if you're someone who likes a bit of Stoker and a good deal of the unholy undead literally biting the dust. it does take a bit of practice to understand the whole thing near the last two eps. got me a bit confused but got it eventually.
flamethrower in their time: fill one of those spray bottles with oil/Greek fire, attach a candle or lamp in front, aim, and pull the trigger. simple enough. *grins* not that different than using an aerosal with a lighter.
"Memories"? no... but on the Crusades, Lady Erised's "In the Name of God" is one of the works that deals with Gabriel and Vlad's relation before everything goes to Hell (literally) 400 years before the events of the movie. on Abraham, well, i can't tell whether you're talking about Stoker's original Van Helsing or the Angel. ;p
let's see how you deal with the ending.
| SirTiddywinkle chapter 23 . 8/31/2004
that was awsome! i especially like what morgan said to gabriel before he killed her. befor michael. i dont think i could give you any constructive critisism cuz that was like perfect!
how carl was saved was kinda out there and didnt really tie into anything if you know what i mean... uh it was like a movie! yeah thats it! i guess it was just really cliche. and of course no where near as creative as my ending but, hey what can ya do?
and morgan FINALLY died. *cheers from crowd* she wont be able to sell trampolines but trampolines were never really that popular any ways. now porn on the other hand...
thats a whole nother story
peace out homie and i expect a really great ending chapter WITH A KISS GODDAMMIT! love ya story !
| kanaloas wrath chapter 23 . 8/31/2004
that was awesome- do update soon.
| Moriann chapter 22 . 8/27/2004
It's a marvellous story! Wondefully written and with a great plot. And this chapter's ending surely deserves the Monthly Award for the Most Wicked Cliffhanger.
If you do something this evil again, I'll feel free to send you a Howler. ;)
P.S. The Hellsing anime wasn't exctly what I'd call good but the manga is just brilliant! You've got to read it sometime! Although it doesn't have anything in common with "Van Helsing" other than hunting monsters. And apart from the inevitable bloodshed, gore and mayhem there's that wicked sense of humour the author's got. It's absolutely terrific.
