This was enjoyable.

Cassandra has always been one of my favorite guest characters on Highlander. When she first appeared, yes she was obviously beautiful, but she was also this mysterious woman who saved a young Duncan MacLeod, who knew he had a purpose, and tried her best to shape him in their limited time together.

Methos, on the other hand, was this old immortal who, you knew, had a darker past, but who hid the depths of his darkness well enough that you never wanted to look deeper. He had a far more intense impact on a much older Duncan, though.

Beautifully written story, nicely done, well thought out.
The tension between them gets visible and imaginable and is all plausibe.
I'm sure, they shared something in the days of old and it was not only loathing or possessing the other.
They way you use the moments of silence are those where they talk the most, because it keeps the reader's own imagination busy and alert.
This is one of the many scenes I could see happen in the series but waited for in vain.
Thanks for filling the void I always felt after "Revelation 6:8" ended. This is the missing link, I always searched for. I can't help, but it was one missed opportunity of the series not to give them a chance to talk and reading your story, I finally found someone who obviously thought the same.

I like this. And I like how you kept yourself from their thoughts, to avoid the melodrama. It made for a nice change of pace.

Nicely done. Restrained yet eloquent, with their resignation revealing the pain beneath, and the hopes they each cling to so they can live.

That was amazing! I'm a sucker for Cassandra/Methos stories, but alas mostly so on principle. I very rarely read a good one, or one that I can find plausible given the characters. I can honestly say that this is the best of the subject that I've ever read. Thank you.

That was awesome. Totally awesome. I think that Cassandra would forgive Methos eventually. Maybe even want to have 'unihibited sex' with him. Please write another chapter. I love Methos/Cassandra stories, even friendship ones.
