| Taly-chan chapter 1 . 8/4
It hurts. To see Lex realize that he will never be able to love Lillian the person, because that's something you get to do with parents only as you grow, and come to the bitter-sweet realization that they are human too. Damn.

Wow, you just really have a way of breaking my heart with your stories. I've been wishing for a while to come across some good stories that look at Lex and Lillian, and I've found them here. This one had great changes in mood, what with me laughing several times during Clark's rant (and Clark complaining about someone else's hypocrisy, that's rich). But then you seamlessly moved into that very sad ending. Poor Lex.

This should be in author's notes, but I'm too lazy to modify the file: But, I published this before Memoria and was pleasantly shocked to find out that (1) Lex *had* forgotten the bad things about his mother and had to forgive her after all, and (2) Lex actually said Champs-Elysées in "Convenant."
So, all-around glee for me.
