Heart-wrenching and beautiful. In so many ways.

This is an amazing fan fiction, an amazing piece of writing in general. You're a brilliant writer, it had me crying and laughing all the way through. I can tell you like The Princess Bride from the two references, 'Mostly dead', and 'As you wish'. Never stop writing, you're truely gifted and thank you so much for giving me exceptional entertainment for half an hour.

Nicely written... but someone should honestly have handed Whistler is ribcage hat and told the powers to go blow. The whole Slayer de-powering was the only thing that kept me from enjoying this. But hey, your story, your rules.

This is the most brilliant fic... What a wonderful way to soothe the pains that the finale brought :p And, for once, a characterization of Illyria that allows my fascination with that character to coexist with my fondness for Wes/Fred without too many contradictions. I love the future you've created for the characters. My only wish is that there will someday be a sequel to this! It's too awesome an idea to let alone for long.

I've been waiting for what felt like forever for the last chapter, and now I'm left wanting. So please please please write some more!

This story was recommended to me when I asked about good post-"Not Fade Away" fics on the TWOP boards. It is the best post-"NFA" story I have read. It had everything I wanted in it. I am glad that you dealt with multiple characters' POVs and the decisions many had to made. I appreciated that you respected the reader's intelligence enough to not have to spell-out everything and that the reader knew the characters enough to understand their motivations. I also like how you reconciled the end of the TV Jossverse with Fray. I am not sure, however, if it was necessary at the end for Wesley to be restored. Illyria had dealt with her grief and had come to understand human emotion and all that Wesley was trying to teach her. Having him "restored" as her reward seems to undermine the impact of her emotional growth, IMHO. However, I don't want to be overly critical since I do feel that this was a very good fic. I just wanted to mention my reservation that is keeping me from finding this a 'great' fic, not just a 'good' one.

i thoroughly enjoyed your fanfic, and thought that illyria was written particularly well. but it would have been nice to have some more closure for the other characters. while it is a considerable time committment, i would encourage you to write either an epilogue or a season 6 story as you had suggested. i look forward to reading it.

Oh! I loved it, I loved it, I LOVED it! It was great! Perfect. The drama was nice, tastefully done. Everyone was in character and the Illyria line: "Your death displeased me; Never do it again." Bra-VO! An excellent tribute to the series. I loved that actions still had consequences even as you reworked them to fit your needs, that you paid respect to B/A even as the story went Spuffy, and that your character voices were so crystal-clear. Fabulous.

I think of all that I liked from this fic, the Wes/Illyria parts were best. It's nice that after all this time, he finally gets the job of Watcher down right.
