Um, you re-used Jones' lines for the Wee Free Men, didn't you? Not an objection, mind you. Merely an observation because it is still very funny! First time a System Lord got a Glasgow Kiss! Using "You'll never walk alone" was hilarious!

I love the way this is developing. I like that the boys are half-inching stuff out of the mountain. Also like that you refer to the United Kingdom, not always Britain. ;-)

This is a rather nice little series. I appreciate why you kyboshed your original idea for the longer sequel to 'The Report', but this is still a series that would be rather nice to see continued - if you get the time, please carry on with it?

Ook ook ak ook heek, ook ook ook ook...
*Jay realises he is not speaking to the Librarian at UU at the precise moment and reverts to speaking English instead of Orang-Utan*
Great stuff so far, but at the end of "The Report" you said the SAS were sending TWO teams over? So...when's the second 'brick' of SAS troopers going to show up? Please include at least one Hartlepudlian and one Mancunian in the line-up: we can't have the Scousers hogging all the limelight! :) Please continue and bring on the SAS! Maybe you could get a platoon from the new SFSG (Special Forces Support Group) along as backup?
Here's an idea for you in case you're interested: an archaeological dig in the Falkland Islands turns up a Ha'tak, a Goa'uld mothership, and SG-1 is flown out to a Royal Navy frigate or destroyer steaming towards the islands with a team of SAS troopers and a group of scientists hired by the MOD aboard. The frigate or destroyer (how about that new Type-45 anti-aircraft destroyer HMS Daring? Look 'er up on Wikipedia or something, could be pretty nifty) has HMS Endurance in support (the ice survey ship), which has a platoon of Royal Marines and a couple of helicopters onboard.
SG-1 and Capt. McPherson's team are to reinforce and advise the SAS contingent and MOD scientists in recovering the vessel. But there are two snags. The trouble is that a) there's a Goa'uld and a few Jaffa in suspended animation aboard the Ha'tak who wake up when the ship is first boarded (which the British government, given that the ship is in British sovereign territory, intend to claim and commission as the Royal Navy's first spacecraft, especially as you can operate it with just a couple of dozen crew plus a contingent of troops/marines for security so there aren't major manpower requirements) and b) the Argies are having another go at invading the Falklands (the thieving b*s).
Somehow, SG-1, McPherson's men, the other SAS team, the Marines and the ships must overcome the Jaffa and Goa'uld AND thwart the Argentinean invasion attempt without revealing e.g. alien spaceships are real and members the British SAS are currently taking one for a joyride around the airspace over the South Atlantic.
Please feel free to ignore this particular idea, but whatever you do please continue! Hope it helps!

keep up the good work.
Opinions are like assholes.
Everyone has one - but some just smell worse than others.

| kissmekent chapter 5 . 9/16/2005
great story. I love your writing. Maybe a story based on this Stargate Verse that concentrates on the Sam/Jack relationship that you built here.

*lol* that last comment by Jack is classic, but I reckon he just doesn't want to risk a trip to the Oort cloud again :)
