Reviews for Hope Springs Eternal: A Subterranean Romance |

![]() ![]() ![]() Beautiful ending! I’m so happy their going to have a child. This story was so much fun to read, you wrote Hades and Persephone’s relationship in such a moving way; they are so devoted! I also really enjoyed how you tweaked certain things from the old Greek tales to fit your story; your ideas were really creative :) Loved the new Underworld, that was really funny! Please, keep considering a sequel? I know it will be a lot of hard work, and I honestly sympathize with your copywrite issues. That must have been really hard. But please, keep the thought still in mind? That's all I ask :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() It is really difficult to write something without any inspiration-especially when its slowly slipping through your fingers and you don't know what to do to regenerate. I have experienced this for myself. I hope you are able to do it someday though, cause I remember in Hope Springs Eternal that you said you had promised Cupid his Disney moment with Psyche. Usually, from what I understand, gods expect their promises to be delivered on at some point. If the Muses knew that this was a promise to Cupid, maybe then they would give you what you need. But even if the inspiration never comes back, I really enjoyed reading Subterranean Romance and I'll probably come back to read it alot. ~BookRose~ |
![]() ![]() ![]() *fav* Hello! Thank you for writing this story. Thank you for researching the way you did. It's so wonderful to read a story set in Ancient Greece that is all in all quite accurate. Lovely. Again, thank you. You pulled it off with Disney-charas no less; that is a miracle in itself. I love your story and I must admit I've read it more than once; sorry I took so long to review. Regards, owlet |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have fallen in love! This story was just too cute to resist reading, and I love the semi-happy ending for everyone. It really appealed to my inner child (and subsequently my inner fan girl). I'm really impressed on how well the story developed itself, I thought for certain that much more difficult hardships would occur (now thinking on it, it wouldn't have been too disney like if it were). I love Hades and Persephone, they are just so perfect and I found great joy in reading your fic. Completely unique and in its own right, I give this fic my own personal 9 out of 10. I would give your story a 10 out of 10 if I were a better fan of disney movies and better appreciated innocent stories. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Can't wait for more stories from you! |
![]() ![]() ![]() sequel sequel sequel sequel! i enjoyed rading your story |
![]() ![]() ![]() Um, can I just say: HOLY EFFING COW! This was...amazing, to say the least. This is probably the best bit of fanfiction I've read. Ever. The amount of thought and effort you put into the story really shines through. I really enjoyed how true you stayed to the original Greek myth details and the Disney movie/TV series and still managed to give it your own creative flair. VERY well done! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have spent WAY too much time in the Harry Potter section recently, because my thought was how *ahem* interesting a Harry raised in your Underworld by your Hades and Persephone would be. I am totally going to kick myself after I send this. I ALMOST want to ask to try and do you justice, but my Muses are on another job, that is going to be a whopper. And I KNOW I wouldn't even know where to start to do research like you did. |
![]() ![]() ![]() IMITATION is flattering, THEFT is not. And I am offended that someone would try and say that theft of YOUR words was anything less than a dirty grab driven by greed. As an author of both fanfiction and someone working on my own original novel, I think that the act of plagarism is a cruel, terrible thing to do, especially after you have made it clear that you don't object to similar veins of thought. And I am especially attached to your story, because I actually used the information I found in your story as a basis for a compare and contrast piece with "A Cask of Amantiato" for my English prof. She LOVED it. I did not cite you, because it was just a comparing a trip to and through Hades to the journey in the short story, but I NEVER would have done it without your story to inspire me, and without the research you did I wouldn't have been so inspired. You are an excellent author, and I'm glad you were able to resolve any and all issues of theft. |
![]() ![]() ![]() UGH! I am SO sorry to hear that some jerk plagiarized you! That so...so...SO FUCKING PISSES ME OFF! I loved this story and I hate it when bad shit happens to good authors. I'm happy to see things were resolved though. Rock on!:) P.S. Hope Hades finds the little bitch and brings down the misery of Tartarus upon her head. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I just want you to know that I loved this story very much. It still enters my mind and makes me giggle quite often. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The last chapter was gold! I loved how you included everyone in the story. Normaly, Stories with Disney Hades makes me sick to my stomach; but your story was so good I got addicted to it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() So, your writing is exquisite, and I'm completely hooked. My goodness! What a beginning! ~Jazz |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well, I have reread this story at least four times by now, but shame on me, never left a review. Let me say now that this is one of my favorite stories, and all the work and research you put into it was well worth it. As for possible future Hercules fanfiction from you, I understand how fickle the Muses can be with inspiration and so while I would love to see more from you, (truthfully, I'd love to see your take on Cupid/Psyche, as that is my favorite Greek mythology romance after Hades/Persephone) I won't blow a gasket, and simply content myself with rereading this a few more times. That's not a terrible idea, really...haha. ;) Anyway, I love this story and I applaud you for writing it. -Forever- |
![]() ![]() ![]() I wish I had more words. This story is excellent. An original twist on a well known story, and a wonderful synchronization the the Disney-created mythology. :) I'm glad to know that someone put so much heartfelt work into a piece of fanfiction. This almost never happens. Just applause all around! |
