Reviews for An old friendship
Raven Aorla chapter 1 . 8/3/2004
I've been wanting to write the same thing for some time. You've handled it well, except for once or twice when the language sounds too modern. I don't think First Age Elves would say "alright", for example. But your descriptions are well-written. Good job.
Celebdil-Galad and Tinlaure chapter 1 . 7/24/2004
We love this so-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o much! It was so sweet and full of good ol' fluffy friendship! It is not often that you run into a story like this. Please keep up the superb work. You are brilliant. It was a true tear jerker! You have to write more, how about one about Turin and Beleg? They had a close friendship you know. Hehehehehe. They are our favorite characters out of the Silmarillion.
Camilli chapter 1 . 7/20/2004

I'm so against slasher it's a relieve that I'm not the only one. I was about to stop reading this section because of slashers.

I like Maedhros but I dont' think he is gay, nor tolkien intended one of his characters were.

This was an excellent one shot of one of my favorites moments in the Silmarillion.
A-zla chapter 1 . 7/20/2004
Good story... I sometimes like to read stories not about LotR...

Was that from the Silmarillion? I can't remember where it is written that Maaedhros was hung by one arm...
seeing-spots chapter 1 . 7/20/2004
Wow! This is a great story. Short and beautiful. Good job.
Me chapter 1 . 7/20/2004
Interesting, but you should probably put this in the Silmarillion section. Actually, you definitely should.

You need to work on your punctuation a bit.

"There is one thing yet to do." Fingon said and as he spoke...

Should be -

"There is one thing yet to do," Fingon said, and as he spoke...

(The Noldor had grey eyes, by the way)
Faerlain chapter 1 . 7/20/2004
Oh, i liked it! Is this a one-off, or will there be more chapters afterwards? _

Irish Anor chapter 1 . 7/19/2004
Wow; this was written very beautifully, just one thing. You might get more reviews in the Silmarillion section where (hopefully, lol) everyone has read the book. Other than that, I enjoyed it!
