| Jane chapter 11 . 10/14/2004 Actually, an extortionist makes demands in exchange for something, there's no definitional requirement that those demands be for money. They can be for other property, attention, or almost anyting of value to the extortionist. Reviews count. You may not like the word much, but that's what you did - and why people reacted poorly to it as a tactic. Also, it's very bad form to blame your beta for anything. The choices you make in your authors notes or your story are your responsibility. Being a beta is a thankless enough job without being blamed by the author for a judgment error. An apology was a nice idea, but you ruined the effect with inaccurate linguistic quibbling, weak excuses, and blaming your beta for your own actions. The story had potential, but the author's attitude caused me to lose interest in reading more. |
