| Lady Philyra chapter 1 . 10/20/2005
I like this story very much. The characters really act like children, yet hint at their adult selves. The relationships are a nice balance of antagonism and sympathy.
Since you do not say how old the children are, I can't answer your question about whether or not Phileas and Erasmus would still be in the nursery. My research indicates that by age seven boys of their class would be in boarding school. They did come home for school holidays, however. This story could easily be set in summer vacation, if Phileas' age required it. I have also read fanfic that used the idea that Phileas would have been tutored at home to spare him the torment he would have received at school about his stammer. I think this unlikely since we know he went to Eaton.
