![]() ![]() ![]() Absolutely loving this story so far, Angy. This really goes a long way to hitting the spot with what I think is the crux of the Remy/Rogue relationship and what I've been trying to portray of their relationship in all the various stories I've written. It's like you've put into compact size and concise language what I've been trying to say over ten stories! Kudos, indeed. I'm impressed. And this is certainly a very promising fic so far, and as far as subject matter goes, probably my favourite so far, in the sense this is a great, interesting and inquiring concept fic. Good exposition on Gambit's character in the first chapter. It was an excellent portrayal of the destructive nature of his personality, something that's endlessly fascinated me abotu hsi character. To me, Remy's searching for happiness, and he'll never find it. There's a part of him that craves freedom and can't do without it, and there's a part of him that longs for love and stability. Rogue represents one of those sides, but she is the antithesis of the other side, and so while he loves her and needs her, at the same time he'll push her away for fear of losing the freedom which is so important to him. The second chapter...Wow, that sounds like a scene I had in mind for a sequel to 'Touch & Go'. LOL. Great minds think alike, eh? ;) I found it interesting that Remy would go back to Rogue simply because he missed her warmth. This is a dynamic of their relationship that I've always thought would come into play later in their relationship, and why I've never thought they'd be able to stay married. Because he wants freedom too much, but every time they break apart, soon they'd be drawn back together again, because their passion for one another is just too strong. IMHO, they also fear that their passion will die should they stay together too long. That's why I found it interesting that they accuse one another of never being able to understand one another. IMO, in a way they actually *fear* to understand each other, because in doing so, they would destroy the thing that keeps their passion for one another alive. It amuses me in a way that when they realize that it's this lack of understanding that has always been a problem between them, instead of talking things through they allow their passions to get ahead of them and make love instead. For lack of a better word - 'typical'. ;) Anyway, I'd better stop rambling, otherwise I'll have nothing to say by the time you've finished this fic! Just to let you know that I'm loving this so far and I'm putting it in my faves, cos I absolutely love this type of fic. And more so for me, you've inspired me to finally sort out this annoying 6th chapter of 'Threads', and reminded me why the hell I'm writing that damned thing in the first place. For that, thanks. And for being Angy, muah! Keep up the excellent work! -Ludi x |
![]() ![]() ![]() well, damn. this sure is the epitome of nice, stable relationships, isn't it? ;-) glad to see another update up so quickly, and great stuff once again. there's such raw emotion between them, it's really powerful, perfectly capturing their love/hate relationship. wow. i mean, you can't really get much more hateful than running at someone with a knife, right? oh well, it ended considerably more loving... wow, only remy would have the balls to kiss somebody who has a knife to his throat... that amused me. anyhoo, i can't wait for more. i hope they hash out their issues without someone dying! keep it coming, quick like a bunny on crack. |
![]() ![]() Wow, talk about a love hate relationship. Love it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well, no more numbness, eh? One thing I love about Rogue/Remy is the love/hate relationship, and you've definitely got that here. Very emotional story so far. :-) |
![]() ![]() Great beginning! I'm really intrigued to see what happens next, update soon, please. I think this story has a lot of promise. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ooh, another fic, huzzah. i'm kinda apprehensive about your dark side (and that's just making me think of darth vadar...), but hey, it'll be great, they always are. i'll just hope for a happy ending... hint hint. ;-) so. good start! poor remy, all empty inside. it is all his doing though - a combination of his pride and his fear and whatever else there is... i wonder why he left. hope we find out. well, no matter how much he is to blame, i still can't help but feel sorry for him! but hey, they meet up again. granted, not exactly the best situation, what with him having a knife at his throat, but i'm sure he can work with that. it gives me even more questions - what's she doing in the motel? how long has it been? what exactly did he do to prompt such hated? SIGH! well, i can't wait to find out. so bring it on, quick like a bunny on crack! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hm, Interesting. Can't wait to see what happens next! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah Remy, you always did like to live dangerously. I like how you started this out, I could really feel the numbness of his life. Looking forward to seeing what Rogue does to him next. :-) p.s. Thank you for the review on One Slip. Almost everyone was wishing Rogue had stayed, heh heh. |
![]() ![]() ![]() this is good! update soon! |
