|Reviews for The Hands of the Steward|
| Robbie chapter 2 . 9/19/2012
A really touching scene. I think it quite probable it happened that way, Faramir would see it his duty to attend. It is quite like him to hide his condition so successfully. I also think the reaction of the others is quite realistic. You managed to write the personalities consistent with the presetting. I would like to read more about our steward by your penning.

So, seven years later I find this and I LOVE it. I too was disappointed in the movies that pratically nothing was seen of the healing/transition between Aragorn and Faramir. Was there ever going to be more? If so, I would love to read it.

Please, first of all, let me thank you for the pleasure your piece has given me. It is very well-written and I was glad you showed us the new Steward of Gondor true to the one in Tolkien's books.

More! I love this!

I fear it is inherent!
| steelelf chapter 1 . 9/5/2005
If this is not hte best houses of healing story ever...
| Susan W chapter 2 . 1/16/2005
He he! Well, I had left a review for this chapter when it was originally posted, but now that it is chapter 2 it will allow me to leave another one. Woohoo!
Still the best scene on Fanfiction. I do so hope that there will be more chapters to come.
| Susan W chapter 1 . 1/16/2005
I was so, so very disappointed that PJ cut Faramir's healing scene completely even in the EE ROTK. PJ should be wholloped upside his ol fat head for that. (Aauugghh!)
Sniff! Beautiful! I love the way this scene was written. Thank you!
Looking forward to more of this story!
| nerwindelin chapter 1 . 1/15/2005
I did love this story, and I agree that it was completely unfair( and presumtuous) to have left Faramir out of the I thought I should I should point out(if you're into quibbling over details like this),that in the books it is Mablung who leads the remnants of the Rangers and while in the movie it looks like all the troops that were at Osgiliath, died,in the books it says that only(!) 1/3 of them did.
| Gypsie Rose chapter 1 . 1/11/2005
I agree, that's exactly how it should have gone! I appreciated it that you made Gimli get out of the Steward's chair too. Nicely written and well done!

O, I LOVE THIS! Since MY next chapter that I'm posting the end of this week is about Pippin and Faramir - would you mind if I mentioned this story and stuff? It really helps build the sense of Pip and Faz's friendship that I'm using in a story...
Let me know!
| IceAngel7 chapter 1 . 11/3/2004
wonderful! well done! Something was always missing from the scene in the book! I greatly enjoyed reading this one. Your Faramir felt very true to me, and every other character was perfect too. I don't know how I can praise it more except to say they should have let you write the script for the movie scene! How great would that be? perhaps just a tad of a Faramir bias but I don't think any of us would complain *sigh* When I finally get to see the EE for ROTK with houses of healing I will remember this story and insert it into the plot! yay!
Thanks so much :)
| clpm-9 chapter 1 . 10/31/2004
This is very good, a nice little missing scene.
| lindahoyland chapter 1 . 10/26/2004
I just loved this and the way you write both Aragorn and Faramir. Gondor badly needed a representative in that scene !I hope you will write more about this time
| Raksha The Demon chapter 1 . 10/14/2004
I really wish this scene had been in the ROTK movie! Faramir is well-written here, quiet but very tough beneath the soft speech.
Is there another chapter - I hope so!
