| 0-Mighty Bob -0 chapter 1 . 11/26/2015
Short of the Milky Way of Star Trek being a different galaxy from Star Gate's Milky Way I don't really think it's possible to have the two series be contiguous ( not without seriously twisting, snipping, and grafting the history, tech, species, timeline, etc for both series ) but you certainly made an interesting attempt. Kinda like how Voyager handled Omega particles.
I like your portrayal of Kirk, I think you captured his 'voice' rather well. So many people focus on ( and exaggerate if not outright blow completely out of proportion ) his supposed chronic womanizing, flouting orders left and right and going out of his way to find combat. You showed the Kirk that was an explorer, interested in discovering new things who also obeys orders despite his curiosity.

This seems like a good story, although can't help but wish for a bit more depth to the thing.
I think I'll check out some of your other stories.

Who says it can't be done? You definitely succeeded in your attempt to cross the two.

That was awesome! Although, it's kind of depressing to think that the Stargate program might never be made public.

This just doesnt work ...
Federation is only in Alpha Quadrant and do you realize just how many warp capable species are only in that region ?
In SG universe the Milky Way is very sparse with non human life ...
Besides , how do you keep stargates a secret from basically every single sentient life in the galaxy ?
Youd need a cover-up on a galactic level ...
And lastly , lets not forget the Borg . What would the Borg do with the knowledge of stargates ?
Before you know it ; Borg galaxy ...

Rather short, and an ending that begs for more. Someone should continue this train of thought. It'll be a smash hit.
| Spirit of Place chapter 1 . 6/29/2009
Ever since Star Trek 2009 came out, I have been wondering how to cross Stargate and Star Trek into the same universe. I mean, how do you get past the overwhelming absence of such key factors in the stargate universe, like startgates and naquadah? I was very impressed by this story, as the only option I could come up with was some sort of inter-dimensional travel. Although I am not entirely convinced that these two fictions belong in the same universe, your concept is highly intriguing and it's a shame this is only a drabble.

hehehehehee that was cute! Any chance of there being more?
| Crystal O Grapher chapter 1 . 8/6/2005
Heh. Fair enough to keep all gate records classified, I suppose. I came across the suggestions once that dilithium naquadah as a method of reconciling Trek and SG1. Still, these are always strained. Amusing ficlet. Thanks.

I like it... mind if I continue it?
| grayangle chapter 1 . 10/15/2004
All the ways this could go. VERY GOOD. If you don't mind I have a idea as to a direction as to where this could go. The Fed Time Comission the one that deals with time travel stuff. They always talk about the "PURITY" of the time line. I remember in Voyager they complained about some of the things they had to "CORRECT" for jayway made a different desion then what she "SHOULD" have done. What have man done when something they believed was not "PURE" "CORRECT" and "SHOULD" be? Just a Thought

I would love to see this one continued. This would be a very interesting story.
