| MidCircleNine chapter 1 . 7/4/2005
Very good. Really gets into the sream of thoughts that probably ran through his mind multiple times during that period of his life. Kind of, morosely beautiful in a way..

Poor Wesley. I guess we'll never know what things would have been like, had he not taken Connor. Excellent story.
| Allen Pitt chapter 1 . 10/18/2004
On the killing Justine thing -personally I think he is more bitter towards his former friends than to Justine -Justine was an enemy and he knew it at the time-what really hurt wasn't getting his throat cut, it was all his friends, his new family, turning on him -Angel trying to kill him, and Fred telling him never to come back, ie none of them giving him a hearing before condemning him...
The whole crew was a little weird on the subject-especially Gunn who went to him to save Fred from those glowy things ...
* One thing to keep in mind: by the time of "Deep Down" Wesley in effect had his own agency, complete with employees and was evidently quite successful -had clients, was making money, etc -I always wished they'd shown more of that - it's easy to forget as it was only shown in a few brief scenes - but when Angel went to him after getting raised up from the bottom of the ocean, and told him 'all was forgiven' (and Wesley handed him a file on Cordelia saying 'here's what you really came for' ) - it was shown pretty clearly...
Maybe budgetary reasons, maybe not having room in the hour long eps, but that wasn't followed up on - so Wesley didn't spend his entire summer brooding in his room and/or torturing info out of Justine - he built a whole new 'supernatural detective agency' -and was doing well with it- might be a plot thread to follow up on...
Cordelia really was the glue that held the team together -if she'd been there, Wesley might have confided in her about the prophecy; if she'd been there she wouldn't have allowed them all to ostracize Wesley like that, and so on...
So -anyway, I don't think that it's so much that Wesley might kill Justine, as that it's real hard to explain why he went back to the team -

Oh, this is so SAD! *pouts* Poor Wes, all embittered and depressed. But I can't help but think what Justine was thinking, locked away in her cage. *shrugs*
