A great story. Very good.
| Nytd chapter 1 . 7/24/2008
Stumbled across this today, and I'm glad I did.
Interesting take on what might have happened differently in the cave at Isle de Muerta.
Nicely written and very powerful. Such a tragedy for the young lovers.
| Lin chapter 1 . 7/26/2007
*cries* oh that was beautiful... "(
| La Flamingo chapter 1 . 6/4/2007
Ah! Such a twist THIS is.
This was a nice way to play with characters and whatnot...certainly would screw up the later movies but boy, what a climactic ending it makes now.
Good job. Beautiful description in the space that you were given.
The only real flaw I can find, though, is that Jack's voice is a little bit...odd. I expected something more rough and to the point, but as it was he sounded very formal.
Of course, that's not to say that it wasn't bad-you clearly are more in the LOTR realm than POTC, so obviously the voice would be a little rickety to start with.
I don't doubt that if you ever came back to POTC, however, that it would get better. It would only take time.
Nice story. It might be a tragedy, but it is very well done.
| andrew chapter 1 . 5/5/2007
That was sad! (Bursts into tears and runs away) WHA!
| lilouche-turner chapter 1 . 4/3/2007
beautiful both in style and emotion !
| Flightstorm chapter 1 . 4/2/2007
I may not have been on for a long time, but never have I come so close to crying over a fic.
This was beautiful, even if it wasn't a happy ending. Just beautiful.
W/E forever- even in death.
| ellennar chapter 1 . 4/1/2007
Nicely done and given how much I have come to dislike Elizabeth in the 2nd movie I halfway wish this had happened...
| Luthy Lovett chapter 1 . 3/27/2007
Very nicely written!
BUT- I must say this...
I REALLY wish that this had actually happened.
I'm a Deathabeth supporter, hehe!
| JeanieBeanie33 chapter 1 . 8/14/2006
Captured all the horror of the audience (except jealous Orlando Bloom fangirls) when they first saw it and thought she'd died. At least, you captured mind!
Very beautifully written, and sad, too.
| meowbooks chapter 1 . 2/25/2006
That was so beautifully sad! I thought that's what happened as well-that look on her face-then a sigh of relief as we relize it was Barbossa who's kicking the bucket...
| EpitomyofShyness chapter 1 . 10/29/2005
Oh god... That was really sad...
| Smithy chapter 1 . 8/25/2005
Romeo and Juliet, no argument.
| MelancholyCanary chapter 1 . 6/14/2005
wow...a beautiful piece; very tragic. Excellent. *wipes away tear*
| Evergreene chapter 1 . 5/16/2005
omg...(stunned silence)...that was absolutely brilliant! And I usually never like or even read character death. But every time I read yours it makes me cry, it's so sad yet so beautiful. I thought the same thing, that Barbossa had shot Elizabeth, I think you're meant to think that. Those last two lines give me such a chill-they're exactly right. I'm a huge fan of all your work, but this one is outstanding.
