| Rori77 chapter 12 . 6/28/2018
Deep stuff in this chapter!
And now I'm anxious about older Kenshin... what if he is given an assignment? But no, Katsura knows his story, outrageous as it may be, and he would not be as callous as that.
| Rori77 chapter 10 . 6/28/2018
"So much faith in me," he finally said.
| Rori77 chapter 8 . 6/28/2018
"No. This is Meiji, not Bakumatsu. I won't be ambushed here. Kaoru-dono won't be kidnapped. No one will try to use her to get to me. Those times are over."
| Rori77 chapter 7 . 6/28/2018
I found it a little odd that the narrator referred to young Kenshin as Battosai in this chapter, since it seems to identify with Sanosuke, who by no means calls Kenshin that any longer.
Okita made me laugh.

Clever Yahiko! I knew he had sensed something was off during breakfast

You worked in the pink gi controversy! Oh my gosh...
| Rori77 chapter 4 . 6/27/2018
Chapter 4: conundrum!
Also, it is nice to see Hiko and Kenshin at the same level. There is even goodnatured jesting!
And poor confused younger Kenshin... Luckily for him, he has a very perceptive Sanosuke watching out for him.
Chapter 4 is acceptable indeed.
| Rori77 chapter 3 . 6/27/2018
From ch. 3:
"Hiko Seijuro, like Kenshin, had always appeared younger than his years. But it was still was strange for the rurouni to see his shishou this young again. This Hiko was hardly older than Kenshin."
I liked this kind of attention to detail. Sometimes time-travelling stories come across a little rushed. Having Kenshin reflect this way seems realistic.
Am I going to comment on every single chapter I read? Possibly
| Rori77 chapter 2 . 6/27/2018
From chapter 2:
"The gentle man he knew had been terrifying once."
This conveys so much. Sano and the others actually know very little about Kenshin. A poignant chapter. And now I wonder whether in the original past encounter younger Kenshin saved younger Sano from the river.
| Rori77 chapter 1 . 6/27/2018
I'm starting this story today. Finally. And, wow, the first chapter is really intriguing! The scenario is so well brought about and I'm already feeling worried for Kenshin...
My favourite part, though, was Sano's comment: "Souvenirs are never any good"

So I've loved Kenshin since I was like 15 probably... over a decade later, I FINALLY found your fanfic! I've recently starting re-reading the manga, and watching the live actions (I'm so happy to have been alive when those movies came out... And I truly mean that, not trying to be dramatic at all lol)...so I decided to read some fanfiction too XD. Such a well-written story line and a marvelous outcome! I think you portrayed the characters perfectly... and I was so happy to read how awesome Sano was in your fic. This idea was great, and I know you've said it was written before, but it was very interesting nonetheless- the first of it's kind I have read! Thanks for keeping this up after all these years... And loving RuroKen back then :). I hope you're doing well, and take care! Thanks again for writing such a great story _!

*fangirl screams and flailing*
Don't know if you will ever see this since it's been so long since you finished, but I loved this fic so much! You did an awesome job portraying the characters, and I love the idea, as well as how you carried it out! Thank you for writing this, and seeing it through to the end!

Omg this is perfection! I loved the way you characterised both Kenshin and Battousai, I felt like it could almost be part of the original series. Writing style was great and I really enjoyed reading this story, as late as I am in reading it. Keep writing! I hope I can finish a story soon too!
