Beautiful story, thank you

This is my first read of this story… but I love it so much. And you have a gift for portraying kisses that show true love and intimacy, sweetness coupled with a passionate depth… as opposed to lust. Such a wonderful gift to paint pictures with words of true love, which is (at times) a type of controlled chaos! I love how Anne’s homecoming was two men who didn’t mind her talking. And that Gil had what no one else had… a way to shut her up.

(Once my family and I hosted a traveling minister and his wife. She talked a lot. He was shy, yet gave wonderful sermons. As we got to know them, he commented that he loved that his wife talked so much. He said it made up for his lack. How beautiful is that?!

I just wanted to stop by and say thank you for this beautiful story. I have read it many times over the years, and I love it more each time. Your Anne and Gilbert are incredible. They have so much depth and sensitivity. I love how you address the damage done to Anne by her horrific childhood without changing her into someone bitter or jaded. And having Gilbert see into the depths of her soul to heal those hurts and fill her needs added such an intense emotional intimacy to their love story. This is how people are meant to love! Thanks again!

I Love Anne of Green Gables and I can totally hear Jonathan Crombie and Megan Fallows doing this! I loved it! it was my first AoGGff I have ever read and it rocks!

Loved this story and how you delved into why Anne wasn't ready for the 1st proposal. I would love to see you write a follow-up to this covering the 3 years wait or their 1st year of marriage! I would definitely read it!
