I know this sounds like a very picky comment since you are already WAY done with this part of your story, but please refrain from switching between past and present tense. It is kind of confusing

Nice chapter. A little short but it summarizes the scene well. I also liked the small insertion in there with Orochimaru. I think this is turning out quite interesting. It's been a long time since I read fanfiction.

One minor corrections. "Jitsu’s" I think it's "Jutsu"
