Nice work on it...Good Alphonse point of view. Though I do think that as a one shot...it could stand to be a bit longer. I loved it though..all in all... a 8 out of 10

While the series goes into some detail about the interactions between Al and his elder brother, I like how you actually have him notice the fact that Edward feels incredibly guilty about what happens, and feels helpless in return. (A psychologist's worse nightmare, perhaps?)
You've got Alphonse pretty much nailed down, and such lines as "We are two damaged souls but make a complete person together" sounds exactly like something he would say, and I congratulate you on that.
Considering that you have no beta-reader, this fic is mostly grammatically correct. There are a few mistakes that are usually hard to catch (complIment instead of complEment as a word of praise, for example.) Still, it's fairly minor stuff in the end.
Good stuff, and if you would, keep the stories coming!
