Reviews for Dog Skin |

![]() ![]() here i am in 2024 finding this for the first time and it was incredible! i know people asked for a sequel and clearly that was never done but reading this over and over from time to time i think will suffice! or maybe someone could take over the mantle and create a sequel for you ;) in any case, arigato gozaimas! 3333 |
![]() ![]() I’m reading this for what, the fifth time, and I’m noticing new things each time: “All that was left was this little corner under the stairs, angled in such a way that no light could reached in.” The place you’re describing sounds like a reference to the ‘cupboard under the stairs’ from the first Harry Potter book. Is that intentional? |
![]() ![]() “This bag can hold anything you wish to take with you and will not get heavy or any bigger.” Heh, sounds like the mythological ‘Bag of Four Winds’ from Homer’s “Odyssey”, which is ironic seeing as Kagura is a wind youkai. PLEASE tell me I’m not the only one who read that book. |
![]() ![]() MIROKU YOU HENTAI! When I’m through with you, you’ll wish God had never put women on Earth! *continues growling Kirara-style* |
![]() ![]() Like in all the best fanfics, Inuyasha and Kagome first meet near a massive tree… |
![]() ![]() If Kagura had survived in the manga/anime and married Fluffy (like everyone keeps shipping them), she’d make a good mommy. |
![]() ![]() Kagura’s bond with Kagome is sweet. It’s almost like a mother-daughter relationship. |
![]() ![]() "For the love of the Buddha, Sango, you may have broken my foot this time!" HAHAHAHAHA! IT’S TOO RICH! I AM LITERALLY CRYING! |
![]() ![]() Aside from the NSFW moments and Inu's dirty mouth, I enjoyed this. The shipping was okay, too. “Kouga was the first to arrive with his entourage of wolves and warriors,” though I think you should’ve added “alongside a red-haired female wolf demon with an Iris flower in her hair.” Even though Rin didn’t make an appearance, you still found a way to show Sesshomaru’s changing feelings towards humans by having Kohaku promoted to a royal bodyguard. The story was sweet, and the ending was satisfactory. |
![]() ![]() When Sango throws a rock at Miroku, it reminds me of an episode when Kagome and Sango are in a hot spring: Sango: “did you follow the deeper points of our conversation, you peeping toms?” *throws rock, hits something* Kagome: “A monkey.” *Inuyasha and Miroku come out from the bushes* Inuyasha: “What’s all the ruckus?” *both boys get beaten up* Hee hee hee! |
![]() ![]() Authors can make any AU they want, but the rivalry between the dog and the wolf will never change… I like that you integrated the Birds of Paradise into the story, too. This story ALMOST has me shipping Kagura and Hiten, an unusual pair, but Kagura made it clear that she isn’t interested, and Hiten has sloppy woman skills. Speaking of the Thunder Brothers, I wonder when our favorite bushy-tailed boy will appear (with his usual loud ‘POP’ sound) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Really enjoyed this! |
![]() ![]() ![]() wowww rereading this was definitely not a bad idea! thank you so much for sharibg this wonderful storyy |
![]() ![]() ![]() Amazing take on this old fairy tail, I agree with you about the sequel, there not much need for it. I really like the way you did the dominance in this story, since it's always how I imagined it being for demons, where they don't have complete control. Thanks for writing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I usually wait till I finish to reveiw I just wanted to let you know that all the annoying reveiws you had to deal with when this plagiarism (but not actually plagiarism) thing was going on was not for nothing. if not for that other story that you mentioned I probably wouldn't be reading this right now. Seeing as I liked hers so much and wanted more of the same I was very happy to find there was another story with a different approach! I loooooove author comparisons and (mostly because I have no talent with writing) usually find myself rewriting my favorite fanfics when I want to read more of a story I've finished. I loved her stories and so far I'm loving yours just as much. Thanks for all the hard work, keep it up! |
