This has been great so far! I only have one thing that you could perhaps change: Voldemort usually addresses his followers by their first name, for example, he said "As inspiring as I find your bloodlust, Bellatrix, I must be the one to kill Harry Potter." in DH, so in this case it would be Quirinus.

To your first question, Harry can't stay a ghost for more than a year simply because he AGES. Ghosts do not.

Great beginning and very entertaining at Hogwarts! Interesting perspective of how people relate to a ghost!

1/ he's going to grow. Also as he hits puberty his magic will change and he may have trouble maintaining illusions especially if he manages to learn wanded magic
2/he is now trying to use formal magic not a form of accidental magic
3/ because he was casting unconscious notice me not and muggle repelling charms, as well as the fact that nobody was looking for him

The answer to #1 is because ghosts don't age but Harry will. I'm surprised no one else has figured ithat out yet as he was 7 when he supposedly died.

This is brilliant. Oh my gosh, to have Harry pretend to be a ghost around Hogwarts is the best disguise. I love it. I'm so looking forward to this year.

Interesting story: amusing while serious and quite unusual.

I'm very curious as to how the plot will develop. Unlike most fan-fiction stories, this one leaves me questioning where it is and where it is going.

This was an interesting little story. A very enjoyable passtime, thought I would have liked to see it fleshed out a bit more since the idea was so good. :) Great work.
