Reviews for Twin Flames |

![]() ![]() ![]() Definitely still interested, keep it going! Please? |
![]() ![]() ![]() So I don't usually review, but I just had to say that you made my day by updating this story. Love the way you portray the characters. Poor Jack, she's at such an awkward age, and that's without counting her rough childhood. It'll definitely be interesting to see how she deals with school. Anyways, glad you didn't give up on this story. It's really good. |
![]() ![]() you are back! Please continue, it’s so good |
![]() ![]() I nearly had a heart attack when I got an email saying a new chapter was up only to see chapter 12 had been revised. Does this mean your PB muse is back? Will there be more? I think I may cry if you update/finish this fic. Out of all the PB fits I’ve read over the year, both finished and unfinished, this is the one I’ve read the most and wished it had been completed! I hope to see another email with an update soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Every so often, I come back and read it and I still think it's one of the best things written in the Riddick fandom. There's always that rope (that even TCoR plays into) where Character A leaves a young Character B and when they come back, Character B is all grown up and is seen in a whole new light. It's kind of satisfying, because you have this moment where you're like, 'Hell yeah! Eat your heart out, that's what you get for not taking them seriously earlier.' But I also love the route you've taken here. It's a slow burn and it requires so much more patience for the writer to do this than to go for the instant pay off moment. But we get to see the intricacies of how Jack and Riddick interact when just doing simple, inane things, when they're not in mortal peril. I like Jack's hero worship of Riddick, while not being blind to his faults. I like her relationship to Imam, which probably runs a lot deeper than she realizes. I think one of my favourite parts in the story has to be when Imam was reading Les Miserables to Jack, and you can kind of get the sense that he's feeling like a third wheel, watching Jack and Riddick watching each other. The moment swelled and felt so significant, even though it was so simple. The way you write Riddick is amazing as well. There are tiny, tiny little parts where I could almost accuse him of being out of character, but then I have to think very carefully about that. He's usually so implacable that the moments where he isn't is very effective. I love that scene where Jack essentially has a tantrum and throws herself at Riddick, but almost to mimic the physical blow, there's this part where they're snapping commands back and forth about the brightness of the lights. That volley stretches that scene so deliciously taut. The only moment that had me questioning Riddick's character is when they have The Talk and when she's about to talk about her dad, Riddick says, "I beg you not to finish." He struck me as soft (especially on the heels of reading kali-red's Hades and Persephone). But then I realized... He's not like this with Imam. He's not really like this with anyone, except Jack. Is it uncharacteristic of Riddick? Maybe. But I'd like to think he'd be just as (if not more) disconcerted by his softness as me, haha. Maybe it's just something she evokes in him. The thing though, is that you wrote this eleven dang years ago. I'm glad to see that you're still currently gifting the world with your stories, but when I think about how many fandoms I cycle through in just a year, eleven seems like a really long time. There are parts in the story that I find ever so slightly awkward (even though you've captured Jack's voice so well everywhere else) and I find myself wondering what Twin Flames would look like now that you have so much more experience under your belt. Idk. I just wanna say I'm happy to have been able to read even this much. I'll understand if you don't reply and want to put Twin Flames behind you, but what were you intending with the rest of this story? Where did you envision it going? Tying into the events of TCoR (which would be like wow tragic lmao)? Someone is still reading this in 2016, haha. I just wanted you to know. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I LOVE IT! ADD MORE PLEASE! |
![]() ![]() ![]() NICE! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I too, would love to see more of this fic! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well that is kinda weird end. But the story was really good :-) |
![]() ![]() ![]() damn, need more of this story. so long since anything written, one of best character studies and personality works for the trio. 8years since anything done on this. |
![]() ![]() ![]() not sure if you care, but someone is posting this on another site under the name serafina20. site is archive or our (no spaces). also posted most of your other stories as well. has 90 or so posted fics under that name over a variety of stories, not sure if they are all reposts or not as aside from this and the Captain America fic you wrote, I don't care about the others. |
![]() ![]() is it bad that even 6 years or so after I found this story, I still check in once in awhile to see if there's been an update? |
![]() ![]() Love to see more of this story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I know I've begged before but PLEASE UPDATE THIS FICTION! I'll pay you! No, seriously! I'd fork out some serious moola for a completely amazing story. And as far as I'm concerned you can skip over school and even a few years to get things going again... Just trying to be a good little muse. ziona |
