I had to read this just for the fact that I couldn't wrk out who BC was from the summary. Quite good. Posibly an original pairing- I don't think many people write this one even though it has to have crossed every reader of the book's thoughts.

Love you, love your site, love your pics (which I discovered before I found you on FF.N). You've absolutely got a talent, for writing and for drawing. I have to pretend you're about fifty, with enough time to pick up the knacks of both, else I'd be entirely and completely jealous. (Not like I'm not anyway, but...)

This is the first story, slash or het (and I've read tons of both), that I can remember going "Awwww!" at the end of. It's so completely true to life! Have you been there? I'm almost forced to believe it; how else could you get the tone and feeling so perfectly right? (I know what it's like for ... well, for the obvious reason: I *have* been there.)

You've got the obsession, baseless though it may be, *so* right. Better yet, it actually does fit from the "real" story. First you meet someone who holds a position of authority and is excellent at doing the job you want to do. Gradually you begin to admire them, more and more, and then one day-who knows when?-it crosses the line into hero-worship, obsession you can't deny and you hate yourself for.

That's precisely, exactly, the type of personality Percy has. I can see him doing this so well.

Maybe it's just me-but do I get a feeling that this is after graduation, when he's 21 or 22 or so? It doesn't seem like he's at Hogwarts simultaneously...

Thanks very much for this wonderful story. Out of all of yours, it's my favorite by far.

Poor Percy. You got the crush-on-the-boss dynamics spot on especially the whole 'He's a slavedriving bastard but my stomach goes all wriggly when he brushes past me' thing. (Ohhhh, I've been there!) I'm glad that someone else reckons that Percy felt that way about Crouch. Also, the 'Only Veela would write an official correspondence to the Ministry of Magic in perfume scented purple ink' line is very funny.

BTW, I've just posted a Percy/Crouch story myself, which has Percy reflecting on events after Crouch has died. It's called 'Starch and Tears' if you're interested.

Poor Pers! (that wasn't a typo, btw). He is wonderfully in chacter... this story is sooo agnsty. This story takes place during GoF or something, right? I can't b before b/c Percy was a prefect or something, and it can't be after. It would help if you clarified somewhere in the story. It took me a minute to figure out how this story would work.

Poor, poor Percy... Right now I'm thinking how Mr. Crouch always called him "Weatherby"... Waaaaaaaaa!

My favorite kinds of fanfics are the ones that could very well have happened within the story they're based on... and this is definitely one of those. A little sweet, a little sad, and definitely very realistic... I always felt a little sorry for Percy and his hero-worship of Crouch, and this takes it one step further with careful subtlety. I love it!

Very good. I like Percy's constant badgering of himself, telling himself he's a fool, because it's *real.* Me, I've been telling myself I'm being an ass for falling for my best friend for - what? - a month or two? And the Veela's perfumed purple ink was fun. I'd like to comment further, but I really have to go. May the wind be at your back, and keep writing.
