Damn you! I'm supposed to be packing to move, and instead I get wrapped up in this fic. *shakes head ruefully*

I've gotten up to chapter 10 (and now I AM going to pack, dangit) and I have to say-I think this may be the best Naruto fic I've read. The tension is just perfect, and I find I can't predict it. Given that I can normally predict the storyline even in novels and movies people say are twisty, that's impressive. Thanks. *grins*

The only thing I still don't understand-after re-reading, thinking I'd missed something-was the end of ... part 7, I believe. Naruto and Sasuke were attacked by Sound and beat them through fox and cursed seals, they head back to Kakashi's place, where Sakura drugs Sasuke and starts to make some sort of ink-seal. I'm confused-why? What was she doing? Or am I still not supposed to know? I keep thinking I missed something obvious...

Other than that, I'm loving this. I'm also building an archive, and was wondering if I could archive it. I know doesn't like URLs, so I won't put it here-if you'd like to look before making your descision, e-mail me and I'll send the address.

But what would happen if all of Naruto's year left to save Naruto? What a blow to Konoha that would be.

i cant believe that tsunade is going to kill naruto! how is sakura going to pull this off? tsunade already knows that she's going to have a plan. sasuke cant even see anymore! man i cant wait for the end!

Oh my god...You had me crying and smiling throughout the entire chapter. I still do whenever I reread certain passages: "You're killing everyone who ever believed in him!" T_T And it was so touching when Neji scanned the stone, didn't see his name, and everyone got riled up over it. And then Konohamaru vandalizes it. :) But I love the scenes when Sakura and then Sasuke are shuffling the cards. It's so sweet. And then there was the final scene with Sakura and Lee. Just _how_ you're showing the closeness of Team 7 is just so beautiful to read! And the last Tsukuyomi that Sasuke had to endure was slightly endearing, by the end anyway, getting that flick to his head. _ I'm kinda glad you didn't show any details to their battle though; making up new intense jutsu can be rather difficult and if they aren't on par with the level of fighting we're expecting, then it could end up being a let-down, so again, I'm glad you left it out. But damn, I love how you made Kyomamushi, with his hatred towards the "fox" and then making Sasuke fear the worst. And I like how you make the snakes mock Sasuke. Hehe "Maimed?" :D They're becoming as bad as the frogs when it comes to respecting their summoner.

I don't know how you're going to end this. I don't even want to think about it because then it really is over. (And I was kinda hoping that your message in your profile was worded poorly and that there really was more than just 20 chapters. Though, guess I kinda got my wish. :P) Although we know death (an early one) has always been a big probability in Naruto's life, it's still possible for him for to live, right? 0:D :crosses fingers and hopes for the best (Pretty please?) I'll be checking here and my email every day for the final update. :) I can't wait to see how Konoha redux comes out!

It is gonna take some time to catch all the way up to chapter 20...This is a fabulous story so far! I love the more fox-like Naruto, though the post-ward effects nearly broke my heart. I never want to see Naruto like that...anyways, I am looking forward to reading the rest.

this is a story i both hated and loved. it was very sad at times but at the same time i couldnt stop reading cause it was so damn good. The way you portrait characters is very good. I dont know if you are planning on continuing but i sincerly hope you do.

It breaks my heart to see Naruto suffering the side effects of the ward! That is so awful!

Between the amusing lines you STILL managed to insert, and the heartbreaking ones (I -cried- at Konohamaru's gesture, so heartachingly sweet) this is a DAMN good chapter, I have NO WORDS that could POSSIBLY do justice to it. Thanks. Ever so much.

The snippet at the beginning was a great addition, and hot damn, you were right about the heart outpouring. Intense stuff.

Very enjoyable and entertaining read, as always. So chock full of interesting ideas, it's almost scary. p

The new developments on the mangekyou are -really- interesting, and I really do like Kyomamushi.

JK! ;D I like how you went into Sasuke's story, giving him a little more depth than just the "Must kill brother" attitude, and elaborating on why he felt so strongly about it, why even his friends couldn't deter him. Basically, I love how you developed his character: it's gradual and seeing how he's been living for nearly three years now, it makes sense.

And I think I like what you did with the second after-effect. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'm reading into it correctly because I thought, if anything, Naruto was regaining his humanity. It's mostly his change in attitude, right? It's truly subtle: how he'd rather kill Sasuke than let him leave again, how he'd possibly blame and attack Lee if Sakura ever died. I guess I overlooked it when Sasuke had admitted that Naruto was the only Hokage he'd trust his clan's secrets with, that _he_ would have to be the Hokage to change things around Konoha. It seemed like he was acknowledging Naruto's strength as a turning point in Konoha so I must've thought Sasuke saw him differently. :/

Anyway, wow, ever since you mentioned the hitokitsune, I kept jumping at the conclusion that anyone and everyone who entered or knocked at their door was the enemy! XD I gotta stop doing that. Lovin' the allusion to 'Blind Itachi.' And don't pretend you weren't thinking it!

Needless to say, I love the chapter and I can't wait to see how this ends. :)

(That was my original review for 19 since about a month ago. 0:) I felt like I needed to submit this before 20 so that my opinions didn't change about this chapter. I'll review the last-two?-once I've finished reading it. Loving it so far though.)
