This is one of the awesomest fics I've ever read. Characterisation, plot, action, little hints of romance; it's all perfect! Hope you continue this soon. I'm looking forward to it. :-)

At first, I thought your characterization was way off. Naruto and Sasuke seemed to hate each other's guts, Sakura loved Lee. To me, right off the bat, it felt weird. But I see it now. The characters are truly in-character. They swear at each other, they seem absolutely indifferent to everyone else's life, but through the facade, you can see that they still care about each other. It's their subtle actions that express how they're feeling deep inside-brutally honest and yet such wusses when it comes to revealing their emotions.

And the way you depict their lives is believable. The Saku-Lee showing that ninjas aren't exactly ensured a long life span, the overlapping plots concerning Akatsuki and Orochimaru, and all the background on the disputing nations during "peacetime." It's realistic and I like that a lot about your fic.

I did find that the chakra separation seemed almost trivial. Honestly, I would think that the Kyuubi would resist far more than Naruto could handle. I do understand that it lashes out during battle only because he wants to protect his friends from harm and since they weren't in danger there was no reason for the Kyuubi to come out, but you do levy that with the condition it left Sakura in. It showed the severity of the surgery and you had no qualms about suggesting what could've happened.

You have an excellent choice of wording in their dialogue as well. The tones, attitudes, cursing, all of which fit their character/personalities. So much so that it sounds natural. However, sometimes you tended to describe conversations with no dialogue in them. I'm not entirely sure I like that about your style or not, but it certainly keeps it from being monotonous and too much dialogue (like a script for a play).

Great work so far. I'm definitely looking forward to the next chapter and your finished work.

I have to admit this is my favorite chapter so far. It's interesting to see how much Team 7 has grown. Even though Sakura has stayed in Konoha and Naruto's been here the last year or so, Kakashi doesn't seem to have really interacted with them so this chapter really rubbed his face in the changes. Yet at the same time some things stay the same, especially the way Team 7 interacts with each other. It's almost as if they are picking up exactly from where they left off or as if they never parted at all. Write more!

This fiction is one of the best-written Naruto fanfictions I've ever read. All characters are in character and there isn't any bashing. Your Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura are amazing too. You didn't make them too strong and perfect. Lots of writers tend to forget that no one is perfect (even anime/manga characters). Alough Sasuke is my fav naruto character but in your story Sakura is so cute with Lee that I think she has a chance to be the first female in book/manga/anime that I like .(90% of anyone/saku fics have a whore/slut/perfect Sakura that I just HATE and she's so ooc that it's sad to look). Anyway, continue with this great story .

Ooh.. I expected a series of one-shots, but this has been a very pleasant surprise. Excellent job keeping them in character, the little mentions of Sasuke's past with the Sound are very interesting and keep it feeling somewhat real. I feel for Tsunade, she's trying to do what she believes is right for the team and for the village, but they continue to do things on their own.

Although it sometimes takes me a second or so to actually get all the implications that are weaving underneath the conversations, it leaves me awed at how much thought and talent you've put into this story. I love your reminders for us that these elite shinobi are only 15 yrs old.

Every time I receive an e-mail notifying me that you’ve updated this fic, I get a giddy little flutter. I read each new chapter slowly, because I hate it when it comes to the end. You’re a good writer, but your grip on the characters is superb. If Naruto were targeted at an older audience instead of being so solidly shounen, this is would it would be. I’ve read a lot of really good Naruto fanfiction, but this continues to be one of my absolute favorites. I honestly don’t know how to be more specific about why this story is so good, why your characterization is so damn accurate: it just is. I proudly continue to fangirl you.

The actual writing in this is wonderful - I'm incredibly impressed with how you're able to convey and evoke so many emotions through it.
