| hajimebassaidai chapter 1 . 4/8/2010

| Loriel Eris chapter 1 . 7/9/2005
I liked this. I tried desperately to dislike Rodney when I started watching SGA on Sam's behalf, but I never quite managed.
This was a fantastic insight into Rodney, and, although you most likely didn't mean it to be, into Sam Carter. I liked seeing Rodney change from the scientist to the 'solider'. I loved the concept that you introduced:
She had the unconditional trust of those around her, and in Rodney’s eyes, that corrupted her. Absolute trust, like absolute power, is a dangerous thing. No one questioned, verified, validated. No matter what crackpot theory she came up with, she could count on one hundred percent support. It was antipodal to the ways of science. Objectivity is the first principle of scientific method. Objectivity cannot be reconciled with unquestioning belief.
It just pushed all the right buttons with me. That one paragraph gave me a whole new facet to the picture I have of Sam Carter - thank you.
Loved that Rodney became, and felt, part of the team.

Ooh, that was excellent! I love McKay, and character evolution, and you've done a wonderful job at getting inside his head and portraying it. Well done!
| Raquedan chapter 1 . 4/16/2005
Okay, I think I'm crying, and I'm not entirely sure why. very well done.
| TheDancingGypsy chapter 1 . 2/26/2005
Excellent story! I was thinking about McKay and character developement after that episode, and I'm really glad someone wrote something about it. I wanted to do it, but alas, I can't really write...so, glad you can! :)
| PurpleYin chapter 1 . 2/25/2005

| J. Dragonsoul chapter 1 . 2/23/2005
You're really good at this short little things. I love it. XD You do a good job of analyzing McKay's character here. Yay! Spiffy little piece. Kudos.
| Neth chapter 1 . 2/20/2005
OMG, what can I say about this? This episode was a turning point for Rodney, not so much in him suddenly being different, but more in terms of him realising it. Though, mind you, I think he had John's respect before this (though maybe not Ford's), but then again this is Rodney's PoV so... anyway, I really liked the angst and the last paragraph is just... thanks for sharing.
| ichargrl chapter 1 . 2/5/2005
I love this! I was thinking something like it after I watched "the defiant one". I think we're really starting to see who Rodney McKay is going to be, and I like it, I hope they don't loose the arrogance and complete self-belief that make him so damned annoying (in a good way)..
and hey, if David Hewlett should ever want to beef up and get biceps like MS, well, the more armporn the better.
| Sokorra Lewis chapter 1 . 2/5/2005
A very nice character introspection. It really does seem like Rodney McKay is adapting more to Atlantis. Perhaps it is because it's a more welcoming enviroment for him.
| Espiritu chapter 1 . 2/4/2005
Loved it! Great insights into Rodney's thoughts.
| Elita chapter 1 . 2/4/2005
