The plot is really good, but the writing and dialogue need a lot of polish.

Killing the family of someone they're trying to recruit? How stupid are the Death Eaters? Also, Snape's father was a Muggle, so the Potters and Snapes couldn't have hated each other for years.

What I'd like to know is why the universe granted Harry's wish the way it did instead of, for example, making possible for Sirius or Remus to properly take care of Harry, or creating circumstances for Harry and Mr. Wesley to create a father-son bond.
