I have read this several times, and I swear it gets better every time I read it.
I love your take on this so much! Most fics tend to ramble on and focus on how the future can be changed, which results in completely different characters as it is their experiences that shape them. You've captured a moment in which Harry gets everything he's ever wanted, but remained true to his character and everyone else's. I love this so much, and your writing is so incredibly beautiful!

You got the name for the Somebody Else's Problem Charm from the "The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" series by Douglas Adams, which contains a S.E.P or Somebody Else's Problem Field that hides objects like spaceships by making them somebody else's problem. And yes, I am showing off with the thoroughness of my answer. Also, according to Rowling's timeline, the Marauders didn't start at Hogwarts until 1971, and Horace Slughorn taught Potions during the Marauders era.

Since my own son is almost Harry's age when his parents died, I feel more emotional about this part of the story that when I first read it 20 years ago.

This is a time travel for the Marauders, and for me too, since I don't remember reading a fanfiction older than this (maybe Cassandra Claire's Draco series long ago).
It's also my first reading of a time travel where the Marauders go to the future. Nice idea !
For now it's fun, but I assume their will be tears later.

i love this fic. it was short but it was just perfect. i love the focus on james because sometimes i can't help but think that people tend to forget that it wasn't only lily's love that saved harry from voldemort. james died that night too trying to protect not only harry but also lily.
