One of my favorites! Ive probably read this like 8 times over already but i still love it!

Spot-on characterization, engaging plot that moved smoothly from point to point, everything spaced nicely; nothing too rushed, no glaring grammatical errors or inconsistencies, nothing seemed fake or overdone. Dang no wonder this is the most favorited fanfic in the Static Shock catergory.
You know, up to the point where Virgil realizes he likes Richie I think this could actually be an accurate description of how somebody would react to finding out their best friend is gay. Because, you know, who ISN'T morbidly curious about everything ever?
...Just me? Okay.
But anyway, great job on this. I especially liked the little details, like how Richie mentioned race a lot more than Virgil. Mostly in his own thoughts, but even talking. Especially how he was raised, it makes a lot of sense for him to notice that sort of thing- even if he has been friends with Virgil for most of his life.

This was really, really adorable. This is my head canon now. I really liked this story, all around.

I don't often read Static Shock fic, but you did /so/ well with the Saiyuki boys and the summary was just too giggle-worthy to not give it a shot, and I loved it.

I've noticed a trend with your chaptered fics where you introduce one problem, and we think that's gonna be the plot, and then you resolve it and twist the problem and force another few chapters out of it, and it's caught me twice, now. I like how not-upfront your stories are. It's refreshing. I also enjoy how, even though this was romance-y, you didn't ignore the entire rest of their lives to focus on it and gave us a sub-plot to follow with it. I feel, when I get to the end, like you actually thought about all angles of approach and told a thorough story.

I find romance intriguing, and adorable.

I hate certain pairings (for example Harry Potter with nearly any male in the series or Ginny) but I'm pretty open about orientation most of the time (for example, Sirius/Remus is practically cannon anyway and I find Static/Gear far more plausible and adorable than any other pairing they stuck in the cartoon series).

You had Virgil mention that he didn't find the physical aspect of two guys' partnership to be disgusting. Sex was sex.

I'm completely baffled how anyone can't see sex as disgusting, gay, straight, extra people... it's just icky. BTW I've been out of college for several years now.

What I'm getting to is that I hope there isn't any gratuitous lemons.

The cuddles, the kisses, even light making out, sure. It's part of the romance, and most likely the plot. Especially in a story where it says "Romance" as part of the genre.

I do see that is rated T. So I feel relatively safe continuing to read.

This story made me laugh, blush, and want to bang my head against a wall. Funny enough, all the awkwardness reminded me of coming out to my best friend- totally by accident, and the first thing she asked was why I hadn't told her. I was like "wait, that's it?" so I think this is a good story. Keep up the good work!
