| AuthenticAussie chapter 1 . 2/17
This is also potentially one of my favourite fics, just because I love how you develop Virgil and Richie's relationship. And them being idiots and figuring things out and then
gOSH it's just so wonderful, and there are so many ridiculously good lines, like, how do you even come up with this stuff it's GOLD
I have to say my fave line is "I think your entire gender is born brain damaged!"
good ol' Sharon calling out her brother's complete sTUPIDITY
| VanillaSlash chapter 6 . 11/12/2014
The best ending banter in this whole fandom. Very cute, very romantic!
| Pris chapter 6 . 11/10/2014
Awesome! Luv it, and I don't usually like a lot of yaoi. You did a good job on staying in character. Pretty sexy too...
| mockingbird13 chapter 6 . 10/5/2013
Wow. Just...Wow. This has to be one of the best-written Static fics I've ever read. Spot-on characterization, engaging plot that moved smoothly from point to point, everything spaced nicely; nothing too rushed, no glaring grammatical errors or inconsistencies, nothing seemed fake or overdone. I applaud you, X-Parrot, on a job well done. *two thumbs up*
| Kimnd chapter 3 . 9/6/2013
Pft, took him a friggin' week of wet dreams to figure it out?
| Kimnd chapter 6 . 5/16/2013
Dang no wonder this is the most favorited fanfic in the Static Shock catergory.
You know, up to the point where Virgil realizes he likes Richie I think this could actually be an accurate description of how somebody would react to finding out their best friend is gay. Because, you know, who ISN'T morbidly curious about everything ever?
...Just me? Okay.
But anyway, great job on this. I especially liked the little details, like how Richie mentioned race a lot more than Virgil. Mostly in his own thoughts, but even talking. Especially how he was raised, it makes a lot of sense for him to notice that sort of thing- even if he has been friends with Virgil for most of his life.
| SnowWhiteAppleSauce chapter 6 . 4/8/2013
This was really, really adorable. This is my head canon now. I really liked this story, all around.
| Mistress of Solitude chapter 6 . 9/11/2012
I totally loved this!
It was wonderful.
And quite enjoyable.
| Chibis Unleashed chapter 6 . 5/17/2012
I don't often read Static Shock fic, but you did /so/ well with the Saiyuki boys and the summary was just too giggle-worthy to not give it a shot, and I loved it.
I've noticed a trend with your chaptered fics where you introduce one problem, and we think that's gonna be the plot, and then you resolve it and twist the problem and force another few chapters out of it, and it's caught me twice, now. I like how not-upfront your stories are. It's refreshing. I also enjoy how, even though this was romance-y, you didn't ignore the entire rest of their lives to focus on it and gave us a sub-plot to follow with it. I feel, when I get to the end, like you actually thought about all angles of approach and told a thorough story.
Thank you for being such a good writer I'm quite enjoying myself
| Oblivious Prude chapter 3 . 5/8/2012
I find romance intriguing, and adorable.
I hate certain pairings (for example Harry Potter with nearly any male in the series or Ginny) but I'm pretty open about orientation most of the time (for example, Sirius/Remus is practically cannon anyway and I find Static/Gear far more plausible and adorable than any other pairing they stuck in the cartoon series).
You had Virgil mention that he didn't find the physical aspect of two guys' partnership to be disgusting. Sex was sex.
I'm completely baffled how anyone can't see sex as disgusting, gay, straight, extra people... it's just icky. BTW I've been out of college for several years now.
What I'm getting to is that I hope there isn't any gratuitous lemons.
The cuddles, the kisses, even light making out, sure. It's part of the romance, and most likely the plot. Especially in a story where it says "Romance" as part of the genre.
Descriptions of the act of sex?
I do see that is rated T. So I feel relatively safe continuing to read.
Sorry you had to read the prudish ranting of a non-sexual (asexual means that one reproduces by cloning).
I meant to tell you I liked your story thus far. But sometimes my fingers race ahead of my editing abilities.
| Aqono chapter 6 . 3/14/2012
Read the whole thing in two hours, and I loved EVERY SINGLE SECOND of it.
Thank you SO MUCH for writing this. Something tells me I read this in 2005, but it was great fun reading it again! I love it a lot! You're a great author! I laughed, I cried, I blushed... oh the emotions I had reading this story.
My favorite part was totally the end of it! I love these boys, especially together! ;) I loved that you dealt with the realizations of homosexuality so well, and I tip my hat to you. -tips hat- The story with the burglars? This all just worked out so well!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

| Alluring Alliteration chapter 6 . 11/13/2010
This story made me laugh, blush, and want to bang my head against a wall. Funny enough, all the awkwardness reminded me of coming out to my best friend- totally by accident, and the first thing she asked was why I hadn't told her. I was like "wait, that's it?" so I think this is a good story. Keep up the good work!
| Cherrie Keane chapter 6 . 11/7/2010
FINALLY! my god, the sexual tension was killing me!
also, excellent fic. I started off by just skimming over the first chapter on a whim, and I couldn't stop! But I'm positive that I wont regret this midnight reading in the morning, even with the lack of sleep it caused. Great job, this is definitely going in the favorites list.
on a side note; THANK GOD that someone else agrees on Virgil's bisexuality. just becuase hes undeniably in love with his best friend doesn't make him automatically gay, and I'm glad you integrated that into the story.
anyway, wonderful job! it was a sheer, squeal-worthy pleasure to read this! :)
| Pish chapter 6 . 8/20/2010
It's the last chapter, and final review. All in all, your story was crafted very nicely. It kept all characters to canon, wasn't unrealistic, and executed all those insecurities of teenagers, new and confusing, well.
I was a bit nervous on when they, erm Virgil, admitted their feelings to one another, because even with the long blabbering speeches, that last most important bit made me feel like it wasn't them. Like it was a bit OOC, then I realized I was being entirely stupid, because that's what makes them, them. Or maybe it's just my thinking that they weren't really the kinds of characters to say ILY so dramatically. Heh.
Anyhoo, thank you for the lovely story. Saddened you don't really write in the fandom anymore, besides crossovering, but it was a pleasure. Please take care.
