With the whole 'King going off to war' shindig, the line of theory is that Kings were considered too important to die in Medieval times. Because of this, many soilders resented that they were the ones risking their necks for some arse who sat on his throne all day. I reckon King Lucius would go off to war anyways to try to subdue any objections of him not fighting with his people.

Is Harry going to die? The journal entry about 'telling Draco when everything's settled down a bit' makes me feel like Harry will never be truly settled down in peace, he never says the 'I love you' to Draco, except for Draco to read it in Harry's journal after he dies.

So, the end of this was a little rushed, but still great overall! Keep writing!

What a beautiful ending. I really loved this story. I definitely loved how you made Ron and Draco along with Hermione bestfriends, definitely something I haven't read yet.
