| PenGator3 chapter 1 . 7/12/2012
To tell you the truth, I'm by far speechless to say the leastwise compare to the other times I've read things such as dark fictions for example, let alone of an "Ed, Edd n Eddy" variety; in fact, this is quite extremely rare for me to come across such when it came to the subject of child abuse in general and in particular. While I didn't cry tears of sorrow like the poor guy did in story, I did feel the emotion of anger that his parents and perhaps his sister felt, albeit directed at them not just for their deeds but by the fact that such parents or better yet people like them exist in this world; even worse, this fanfic along with many fanfics in general represent the frustrations and the powerlessness of everything, from the series of unfortunate events that have unfolded from itself to the fact that such things weren't to and/or will never be officially addressed by people like Daniel Antonucci. Fiction exist not only to satisfy our hopes, our dreams, our expectations, and our imaginations, but also to cope with the unfavorable truths of the real world we all live in for two reasons: to find closure within ourselves for the hope that can and will spring eternity one day via inspiration and as a remindful warning to put an end to the evil that ferments in the hearts of those that plunders, cradles, and scourges like a lash 'til the land's barren, desolate, and soiled with blood. Perhaps that while fiction can give readers the unalienable right to theorize and substitute the bleakness of such works of literature like going with those where the protagonist lives, it'll not change the facts that such evils exist in reality not because it's the opposite of all good but rather because we allow it to exist, unknowingly or otherwise; the death of Ed is an example of such evil in particular. Additionally, it'd show that contrary to the concept to the concept to the concept of characters being free to commit acts of intolerable cruelty without retribution in the show, it's clear that karma still exist in some form within but it'd only be the beginning compared to the bitter end of life itself: as the parents would have a ghost of a chance of escaping the ramifications of their negligibly abusive misdeeds, Sarah will live to undergo the full extent of her exploits for as long as she lives and even after she dies because of the one phase that came with only a price not measured in mere earthly currencies. Either way, we'll have no choice but to reflect on this chapter with no hope of turning back the clock that measured the days of our lives as a reminder of how it still exists in our lives as a reminder of how it still exists in this day and age. Even this review can serve as an example of regaining closure not to seek favor and recognition but rather as an minute lamentation of the bridges that were unbuilt to begin with; therefore, I bid you a goodbye and fair winds.

| Nonamenonamenonameplease chapter 1 . 1/14/2006
Wow. So much for the show's innocence...or lack thereof. Too bad I never read anything like this at or the now nonexistent Poor Ed. It serves both Sarah and their so-called parents right for treating him that way. So many little bits I missed in the show...
| digigirl02 chapter 1 . 1/6/2006
That was very sad, but great story though.
| AnimeFreak84 and Ikemen chapter 1 . 1/3/2006

::Crying as he types this so everything's blurry::
Oh my god...and that's exactly what I'd expect in Ed's household...
That was a good tragic story...it got me, especially, how Eddy actually felt emotion in the end...
