Ah, so this is the end. I'm getting that little empty feeling I get whenever I finish a particularly excellent story, but I knew it had to end eventually. I very much approve of this last chapter. It wasn't overly dramatic, and it tied off loose ends well. At least they know for sure that Brund's dead. It wouldn't do for the fellowship to be constantly looking over its shoulder for him. His death also finally gave Legolas and Sam closure to this horrible ordeal. This story sets a good foundation to Legolas and Gimli's friendship, and I adore the character development.

This was a really brilliant story. I hope we'll be seeing more of you!

A well-rounded ending for a fantastic story. I'm sorry it's over, but like all good things, it couldn't go on forever. You provided good closure with Brund, and I like how it ties in with the bigger trilogy; the parts between Legolas and Gimli, Frodo's thoughts about the other hobbits and the Ring. It flows right into the grander epic. Thanks so much for this; I enjoyed the story immensely, and just the writing itself. I'd like to read whatever you come up with next. Til then.

I know what you mean, there's a melancholy feeling about finishing a story, you're glad it's done but at the same time you're sad that it is. Well it's been a pleasure to read the fruits of your labors, hopefully in the near future I'll read one of your new stories.

I enjoyed mostly how you showed the emotions of the fellowship, and the way you developed the character seemed to totally match what I have always had in my head. Please continue writing, there is so much on this sight that is not worth reading that I crave stories like yours.
