This is one of my favorite RK stories! I must have read and re-read this story at least 4 times in the past year alone. It was so beautiful how Kenshin took care of And protected Kaoru and how she gave him purpose and forgiveness. Love this story so much!

This story was beautiful. I stumbled upon it through someone else's favorites-and I am so glad I did! The setting was illustrated so nicely because as I was reading, I constantly felt cold and/or could picture the cabin and the things you described Kaoru using. I really liked the unique plot for Oni... and how it was mentioned and used throughout the story to keep the flow and pacing steady. Kaoru and Kenshin were portrayed very well-I really adored their interactions together. And the ending was lovely! Absolutely heart wrenching AND heart warming story! Thank you for writing such a beautiful fic :D!

The pacing and atmosphere is absolutely on point. Characterizations are also stunning. This is simply beautiful.
