| Wolf's scream chapter 1 . 4/24/2005
Well-written (despite "lye" up near the beginning), though the whole bit with the Death Eaters coming back, then doing a "Jonestown" maneuver seems a bit strained.
The meat of the story - Harry's anguish at the deaths of Moony & Ginny - is quite moving. I would find it difficult to believe that Harry would be "functional" in almost any plausible use of the term, though: I'd expect something more akin to catatonic withdrawal from the world (assuming he doesn't "shut down" so far that he doesn't survive), probably despite the best efforts of Hermione, Ron, and the rest of the Weasleys, if Ginny doesn't make it.
