wow... I am speechless..

This is painful, but lovely. The tone is delightfully melancholy, and yet Kakashi's voice gives it a sense that it's all just business even as he shuts down more and more. I loved the part where he got so offended at how terrible the kids are at being ninjas before realizing what it means that they're nothing like he was at their age, or half their age. The ending was fantastic, and even though we know how things go from here, that little bit of wistful hope, of Kakashi being willing to try one last time, is the perfect (happy) ending for this.

I think you are my favorite fanfic author just because you write Kakashi so well it's scary. I don't know why but I just teared up at the part he evaluates Team 7. Especially the part with Rin's smile.
