| Amy chapter 1 . 8/4/2004 Don't worry _ It's not a flame. I guess this fic would've mattered a lot more to me if I had never read or seen a scrap of mental illness incorporated with fandoms. Truth is, the first televised version of this story (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) was a great episode! Buffy was almost coerced into killing all her friends because the drug in her (causing hallucinations) almost convinced her that she was really in a mental asylum and that the only way to check out was to get rid of her problems - kill all the characters in her imaginative little play. Plus, there was also an excellent Beyblade fic about Kai suffering from a splintered version of Stockholm Syndrome (where the subject holding him captive was really the memory of his dead love). And... well, I've always liked schizophrenia in Gundam Wing, so I've seen a bunch of those (excellently done!). And school research has called upon this stuff as well. In short, you are an awesome writer. Perhaps not the most original (actually, about the least original, since most fics at least have *something* to differentiate it from other similar fics). A note: It *was* a bit self-centered to repeatedly state "Read the warnings!" and "This will change your view of Harry Potter forvever!", wasn't it? It could only be truly and horrifically shocking if one had never been exposed to an individual facet of mental illness. ...Don't really know what you were playing at. |

For a fleeting moment, I was asking myself, "What if that really was the case with Harry Potter?" And obviously it did have an impact on others, I mean, 200-odd reviews! I mean, wow. Really. Brilliant idea, I'm curious about how you thought of it, but it gave my shivers. I enjoyed it none the less, but I'm not sure why.
