   GodricGeoffreyGryffindor chapter 6 . 11/29/2011 James acted surprisingly wimpy for an auror in this fight. He had a couple of brilliant moves, but overall it was a very poor performance. His focus was abysmal. I thought Voldemort levitating his wand and then using it like a muggle arrow was very out of character for any wizard, and yet James failed to take advantage of that stupidity. Also, weren't most of the other people in the house supposed to be magical? Not one of the defenders drew a wand. And Mrs. Boyle was ridiculously slow on the uptake. When characters act that stupid they deserve to die. Last chapter Remus was acting more wimpy than I've ever seen him as well, insisting he "can't" guard Harry. Are all the folks on the light side going to be wimps? If so, I should stop reading right now. |
| GodricGeoffreyGryffindor chapter 5 . 11/29/2011 How could you possibly let Snape get away with saying "It wasn't my fault." If he didn't goad Remus mercilessly, who did? Like you say, it was a short chapter; plenty of space for Dumbledore to ream Snape a new orifice where he sits. |
| GodricGeoffreyGryffindor chapter 4 . 11/29/2011 If you're going to have characters talk as poorly as Percy did, it doesn't make sense to have Bill act like he understands him, and then put the translation in an author note. Instead, have Bill question what Percy said by echoing his best guess back to him, that way we all understand without the need for author notes. |
