ZaffreAmethyst chapter 4 . 11/30/2020 Aaaah the 'poke poke' was adorable :') |
xt1me chapter 6 . 5/4/2020 So one this I like about this website is even if it's been over a decade it's still possible to get closer on the WIP you read. Thanks for updating, I think I'm going to go back & read this whole thing again |
ChthonicUnraveling chapter 6 . 5/3/2020 Oh my gosh, I am actually a little stunned that this was updated. I realized when I commented before that most authors who leave a fic for so long have usually deleted the email linked to their account, forgotten their password, etc. etc., so I was honestly expecting you to see this maybe more in passing a few months from now if you chose to check on this story just for fun or not at all. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this. I like how you wrapped everything up, and your closing line is iconic and offers closer - especially after so many years :) Seeing as this is the last of this story, I'll go ahead and put some of my other thoughts here. I really love how you wrote the characters. I said this before, but it deserves to be said again. As a writer I focus a lot on characters, so I pay a lot of attention to how others write their own - especially in fanfic where I can compare how I write a character to someone else's interpretation. Anko especially I thought was very well done; she's a hoot and a half, a strong female character, and you focused on her in a way that didn't emphasize her very real trauma in unreal ways or make her more even-tempered or more crazy than she really is. I looked through some of the other reviews, and from what I read you inspired a couple other authors that I have come to really respect and look to as inspiration for my own fics, so another HUGE thank you. In a way, you are the person that started an era of sorts - an era of well-written KakaIru either platonic or romantic without the over-used tropes, cliches, and stigmas usually associated with the two. As the one who inspired the authors who have inspired me, you've influenced a lot of my own work. We're sad to see you go, but I know I at least am thankful for everything you've done, knowingly or not, intentionally or not. I hope life treats you well, and wish you many happy returns :) |
ChthonicUnraveling chapter 5 . 4/30/2020 Oh man, it's been so long since you updated this (almost 15 years, holy moly). This fic is so good, though. I love how you write the characters, from Iruka being totally awesome while still not being OP to Kakashi being a good comrade while still being a complete bastard in that way we all somehow still manage to love. It's just - It's so good, and so very well written. I wish you would be able to update, but I understand that it's been a really long time and that you probably have no desire to continue this fic anymore. If it's possible, would you be willing to as least let me know what you wanted to do with this fic? Where you wanted it to go? I'd like to try and adopt this fic and finish it for you if possible, but if that doesn't work, then even knowing the bare bones of the rest of the plot would be enough to sate my burning curiosity. Thank you so much for this work of art! :) |
infinite eternity chapter 3 . 4/8/2018 Very good story so far, I like the interaction between characters and the little but significant details. However the gratuitous Japanese sprinkled in is somewhat unnecessary and seems forced/awkward, and it interrupts the flow of the story. Otherwise, great job! |
TheDragonPrinces chapter 5 . 9/6/2016 Go Iruka-sensei! Ooh, is there a chance for summons in (one of) the future chapter(s)? I'd love to see what summon your mind supplies everyone's favourite Shinobi Academy sensei with~! |
Anonymous123456787654321 chapter 5 . 4/18/2016 How did i know this would be incomplete? |
Anonymous123456787654321 chapter 2 . 4/18/2016 Hmmm |
Swiss Army Knife chapter 1 . 1/22/2016 I've been going back to stories that had a big impact on me, and this is one of the most important. I couldn't believe it when I saw that I hadn't reviewed when I first read it years ago. I apologize for that. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you. These stories are wonderful, and they are what first made me think that I could write friendship-centric stories with Iruka that would build up his character - It's why I started writing Naruto fanfiction to begin with. So thank you so much for sharing. Take care, Swiss |
nobody chapter 5 . 9/23/2012 I liked it. Iruka get's so little screen time in the show/manga and then gets overlooked because he's only a Chuunin it's cool to see him getting the better of people technically above his level and the method made sense too. Perhaps a little easy but then again if you bluff right it seems really easy anyways. |
nobody chapter 4 . 9/23/2012 It's always interesting seeing how people interpret shinobi relationships to Konohagure and what hidden demons they give Iruka. Your take on things was interesting and I liked it as much as you can like angst. (Which all things considered is quite a bit, just look at the Supernatural fandom.) |
nobody chapter 1 . 9/23/2012 Ah, I like it. I like Iruka and Kakashi's interaction especially. :) |
TjRythum chapter 5 . 5/31/2012 shit damn it! you haven't updated in years! why is it always the good ones? |
Marikalay chapter 5 . 11/16/2010 I'm really looking forward to your next update of this one. It's a really interesting view of the two of them. Keep up the good work. |
sara chapter 5 . 8/7/2009 when do you want to continue this? its took too long time. 4years its pity that you dont continue this. because your story is very very wonderful. i hope you continue this so soon. |
