No matter how you feel about this story, this remains one of my all time favorites in the fadom, even now oh so many years later after having read it the first time.

There is NOTHING wrong about writing about the subject of rape. It happens. Your story is sensitve, instructional and HAS A POSITIVE PURPOSE!

This is an incredible story. It is a difficult subject, but you write with great sensitivity and power. I've re-read it several times already, and the ending with Qui-Gon always gets me. You can just feel the pain of them both there, and Qui-Gon's understanding and love for his son is so powerful. I love it. You did a truly wonderful job.

And as another person who has had a brush with abuse, I can also say that you described the feelings and fears surrounding that extremely well. It doesn't matter if it didn't go "all the way"-just being touched in such a manner can have devastating impact, especially on young people.

I'm so glad that you reposted both this story and it's sequel. Not only are you an extremely gifted writer and that shows here; but also the fact that while rape and attempted rape are very difficult topics you present it all in a very respectful way. Too many fanfictions out there make light of it (people recovering too quickly or worse falling in love with their rapists) and it's important to have stories that balance those out. Thank you for writing and sharing such insightful and empathetic stories.

You said in your repost that you took your fics down because you where uncomfortable with the subject material, but i wanted to thank you for putting them up. I myself went through an almost rape experience, and i can remember sitting in my room at my desk the next day, feeling so cold, not wanting to tell anyone because i would get an i told you so or they would discount it because it wasn't a full rape, but it stays with me just as much. So cheers to you, for having the guts to post this. I hope those like myself that read it and have gone through the same experience can benefit from it, maybe if they can't say it themselves there is comfort in someone saying to for them.
