Marikalay chapter 27 . 11/20/2010 As always, your updates are well worth waiting for. Keep up the good work. |
Lost to the Hoping chapter 27 . 11/20/2010 Lovely, as usual. I really wish you'd update more often, but I suppose I can't complain so long as you keep updating. Good luck with life, and as always, update soon. -TSV |
phoenixfirekitsune chapter 27 . 11/20/2010 I'm so glad to see an update. It would have been amusing for Kurama to dress up as Rando, but I suppose having to repeat a story several times for people to understand a costume would be annoying. I'm interested to see what the Tantei wind up as. Update soon please! |
silverfox chapter 26 . 11/17/2010 Man, I can't tell you how happy I am that you updated! I was really surprised that you had Yukina find out that Hiei is her brother; it just didn't occur to me that you would add that in. And your idea of having Hiei almost die was a real curve-ball, and I loved every moment of it! Especially having Bill show up, and Kurama's reaction to it all. Pure genius. I don't think anybody else has ever written a better representation of Hiei's Jagan and his relationship with Yukina. Awesome! But, I do hope you update soon. I love your stories and can't wait for this story to continue! |
moocow33 chapter 26 . 11/17/2010 wow, i just finished reading this story (and it's predecessor) and i have to say, thank you, thank you very much for thinking up this brilliant story, writing it down and sharing it with us. Love the interactions between Hiei and Kurama (though i kinda wish that there were more possessive/'but i insist' scenes like the one on the train alas ) and how you have the interactions between everyone else - really well done. This is definitely going on my favourites list. I wish you all the best luck in continuing (if that's what you want to do) with this story 3 |
Enjeru chapter 26 . 11/17/2010 Awwwwwwwwww, I hope we're gonna see what happened with Hiei and Kurama the other night during the solstice. And of course the Masquerade sounds like it's gonna be a beyond hilarious event (at least with the Tantei involved) ;) As always, keep up the good, no great, work! Hehe, hope to see an update soon. |
KittyCow420 chapter 26 . 11/3/2010 He-lo! Hope you're havin a fantabulious day! Been a fan of this series for... well I guess it's been years now ... Sorry I never took the time to stop and say wow. I just finished re-reading it from the begining of BD for about the 2nd time and I gotta say, it's one I'll always keep coming back to. (So, if you take it off-line you gotta let me keep it on my desktop, PLEEEEASE! :D) E-HEM! 'Scuse me. To the point, I really love the actual substance to the plot in your story. It shows you took the time to plan ahead and are developing the characters as you go. Speaking of which, I ever do love the depth you put into Hiei and Kurama the most. 3 It's nice to see someone treat them as more than sex-addicted loonitics without a fiber of real personality. Anyways, I've probably blabbered enough for today so thanks you so much for sharing your work and I can't wait to see more! Hang in there and just know you have loyal fans willing to wait. -Kitty :3 |
rebecca85 chapter 26 . 10/10/2010 Your story is awesome, no question about that. But there are some mistakes that I've come to point out. (Sorry...) - Kurama's 'human name' is Shuuichi (or alternatively Shūichi), but not Shuiichi. That would be the American pronunciation, not the real name. - When Hiei got b-day cards: "Happy birthday" in Japanese is "Otanjoubi omedetou". The word order is reversal compared to English, and when talking about someone else's b-day, you add the honorific prefix. - You can't call your little sister 'imouto'. Imouto *means* little sister, but only in a context that you are either introducing her ("This is my little sister...") or if you’re talking about her ("My little sister has one like that..."). There is no special way to call a little sister or -brother, except nicknames or adding -chan to the name. - About the whole 'aniki', 'oniisan' mess: aniki is not something little children ofter use. The word 'aniki' comes from two kanjis, 'elder brother' and 'esteem; honour', but the nuance has changed a bit in time. This form of address is polite but not very much so, nor does it indicate a personally close relationship. But it *does* say that you are related. This word is usually used by older men referring to their big brothers, or the yakuza (Japanese mafia), because the mafia is, of course, a Family. (Which ruins it for me in this context.) Oniisan or niisan or niichan or oniichan are all for children or to those that have close relationships, since these are more endearing. I'm not sure if this is a good example, but in Naruto, when Sasuke is little, he calls his big brother 'niisan', but after the massacre he calls him 'aniki' (most likely to distance himself emotionally while keeping the family ties clear). So to have Yukina call Hiei 'aniki'... makes me shiver a bit. But what I think would suit Yukina perfectly, would be to call Hiei 'aniue'. It mean 'honourable elder brother' and comes from kanjis 'elder brother' and 'above; up'. It's very formal and isn't much used nowadays, since it's quite old. But *because* it's old, wouldn't it suit Yukina perfectly? When, of course, not calling Hiei, Hiei-niisan. Okay, my credentials for pointing this all out: I've been studying Japanese for over five years and I've been translating anime from Japanese to English for over two years. I've been told to have a very good understanding with the nuances of Japanese language (by my teacher and some exchange students). But I don't claim to actually be right on this 'aniki' business. My argument is based on past experiences of hearing the word used in Japanese TV-dramas, anime, manga and audio dramas. I will investigate this matter further at a later date. Excuse me for butting in. Great story otherwise! Luv, reb P.S. Plus is wanted to give you a review. |
Biennia Baron chapter 26 . 9/29/2010 I love this. I saw this earlier today and began to read it. Of course I was halfway through chapter two before I realised it was a sequal. Haha. Anyway I went to the first series and finished that before I finished this one. I love it. There are some inconsitancies within the plot like the realationship between Kurama and Hiei, but it is easily overlooked for the overall plot of the series. Are you going to go back to Kurama and Hiei's relationship issues? Are we ever going to find out Harry's powers? (as long as it doesnt make him a super character...) Are there going to be anymore Demons? What did Kurama mean about requesting help from Hiei for the Harvest, and why did Hiei react the way he did? So many questions. But no pressure or anything. I cannot wait for the next chapter. I am whole heartitly going to be keeping an eye out for the next update. Thanks so much for blessing us with your wonderful story.(that sounds much better in my head) Now that I think about it, I am rambling arent I? Sorry for that. |
emeryboard chapter 26 . 9/11/2010 i'm a horrible fan this is my 9th time reading through the story (at least, I'd say) and i've finally mustered the courage to review and to tell you I love your writing to death; your handle on dialogue is super awesome, and the story's done nothing but get better and better i'm so so SO happy you started working on AGO again, especially with what seemed (seems?) to be a rough year, and I appreciate it so much i eagerly await ch 27, and ill try to review more from now on |
andchipzz chapter 26 . 9/5/2010 I think, in my last review, I was unfair to this story. I read this chapter, still feeling disappointed with the shortness of it, but feeling giddy, because I am very very curious as well about Hiei's masquerade costum. Stll, good job, do better. I, and I'm sure many other readers, will follow your stories until the end. |
Airiden on deviant art chapter 26 . 8/29/2010 I'm so excited to see you writing again, I hope that means everything is going well for you~! Two updates so close together3 I have zero idea what is going to happen, you always keep me guessing! You are the only reason I even go to anymore. (not that I'm dissing , I'm just saying you're that amazing!) I feel the urge to read it all over again...well at least I'm on summer break from college this time! |
anonymous chapter 26 . 8/28/2010 I just checked up on this story after YEARS and CHAPTERS and CHAPTERS ago... and it is most excellent. I am so happy that you are still writing this. 3 |
xXFissshBonesssXx chapter 26 . 8/27/2010 I'm so glad to see an update! Thank you very much _ The story's advancing beautifully. I'm really enjoying your subtle touch to different story aspects; plotting, subterfuge, relationships, etc. Everyone's (still) in character and you're still writing away~ It's an excellent combination and I hope to see more of it in the future! (: Also, please enjoy the vacations you have. No one can make you write but you (and sometimes even that falls through) so don't let anyone's whining get to you. (; See you next chapter! |
kahuffstix chapter 26 . 8/24/2010 hi, i just spent the last week rereading this and it's prequal. i loved these the first time, and i love it even more now. i look forward to an update soon. |
