I was recently pointed at The Best Defense and subsequently this story.

I enjoyed the story, the characterizations and the plot. Though I am new to the Yu Yu Hakusho fandom, I found this story enjoyable and true to both series.

I don't know if I've ever reviewed to The Best Defense or to any of the chapters of this story, but I am now! I really like this fic, and I'm glad that it got updated recently! *jump for joy* Thank you thank you! And keep it up!

Oh huzzah update! I'm so glad you're continuing this; it's one of my last hold-outs from my anime fandom days, and it was always one of my favorites.

I reread the whole book to date (and Best Defense) in preparation of reading the new chapters that have been posted since I last read, and I still love it. It's sometimes silly and definitely interesting and I really enjoy your characterization of various Harry Potter and Yu Yu world people. My one issue that I've noticed in the last few chapters was that some of the action seemed really rushed and not well explained beforehand. I sort of stumbled into what was going on and why in some cases. Though that could be because of lack of sleep.

In any case, I love this story and am so glad you're continuing it. Can't wait to read more!

I agree with Yusuke. Bwahahahahahahahahahaha! And Neville wins an award. I'm not sure what to call it, but seriously, he found a way to keep Harry from snooping. That's a miracle. A complete miracle. He's really come along, hasn't he though? Didn't any of the Gryffs ask where Neville of all people got firewhiskey? The Hufflepuff idea may have been the best, but the Gryffindor idea sounds like the most fun. Poor Hermione. I cannot wait to see the masquerade. Bwahahahahaha! Also, the party thing reminded me of Oh God Not Again! "I'd like to be in Gryffindor. I hear they have the best parties" "Well, that's okay if you're into that sort of thing."

Lovely, as usual. It's certainly been a while, but it was definitely worth the wait. ...I love the parallels you show between Slytherin and Gryffindor, especially with the reactions to the "regrettably late night"! Fantastic!

OMG its too good to be true, two chapters in 30 some days .

this was a most fun chapter, and the thought of Kurama and Neville finding themselves under mistletoe out in the forest... alone had me in fits .

Hmm, i wonder which muggles out classed the DEs. Im thinking it must be some of the other YYH crew.

Speaking of Fire Whiskey, i wonder what ever would happen if Kurama tapped his demon source for good brews aka Chu, i imagine chaos would ensue.

Favourite part of chapter was definitely the 'I'm not drunk/hungover', the last section was brilliant. Ah, school principles, always encouraging inter-grade relations... it barely works. But yes, was definitely terrific. What IS Yukina going to make Hiei wear, I do wonder most curiously. Wishing you best of luck with updating!

Huh. Always interesting to run across someone else who's read Tamora Pierce's work.

I don't recognize the reference specifically, but then I've only really gotten around to reading the Song of the Lioness Quartet (or tetralogy, as is the more proper term). I've got parts of Protector of the Small and The Immortals, but I've just been too busy programming to read anything beyond the occasional chapter that arrives in my inbox off FFnet.
