I've followed this story ever since the 12th chapter of The Best Defense, and it's so sad to see it ending. Would you consider allowing another author to finish your story?

/sigh/ when I saw there was a new chapter I was happy that you had reconsidered and was doing more but I see that it was a lovely parting gift but not a renewed interest. Darn. Thank you so much for posting the plot outline at LJ. That will allow me to continue to re-read this with pleasure. There are already scenes in it I've read 10 or 12 times over the years. Just picking out bits that I remembered fondly and really wanted to see again as I waited for the next chapter.

Loved Yusuke as the Monkey King! He fits it so well and I'll bet he looks great. I really am going to miss the way you nail the chemistry of these characters and how they interact with one another. That teasing exchange between Yusuke and Kurama and then later the way that Kurama dances with Kuwa and Yukina were excellently done.

First, it was a lovely chapter, imagining yukina dressed as Leia was great haha.
Second, that is rather cruel of you to end the chapter on a cliffhanger after all this time. Intriguing and effective, but a rather mean.
Lastly, please do not abandon this fic. Please please. It is one of the very, very few -perhaps even the /only/- well written yyhakusho fanfics, nevermind cross overs. Your ability to write the character so utterly in-character is a talent few have and a real treat to read, your plot was both engaging and entertaining. After all this time and all the promises that you would not leave this unfinished it seemed like a betrayal for your fans who have been with the fic from the start. It is beyond disappointing, I will really miss your talent and previous dedication. Mostly I will miss the characters that so rarely get the treatment they deserve anymore.
Please rethink your decision to abandon your story and fans,

Can you at least give us a mini side fic of hiei telling the ghost stories? I thank you for making it to this chapter, at least we got to know what they dressed up as.

Thanks for the update. I loved the party scene, especially Hiei taking to the rafters. lol. So perfectly in character though I would have loved to see he and Kurama have at least one dance together (in some secluded corner where no one would notice them perhaps). I am sad to hear you don't plan to finish this and I sincerely appreciate the plot synopsis you posted on LJ because otherwise I think the disappointment at that news would have made me cry. This and Best Defense are two of my absolute favorite fanfics in any category. I hope you may someday reconsider finishing the series. If not, then someday I may use your plot synopses to adopt the rest of this story and the sequel if that is okay. Your profile leads me to believe you wouldn't mind if I did so, though I am unsure if I can do your plans justice. _' I simply feel it would be a terrible shame to let such an awesome series languish incomplete forever. I have to finish my own monster story first though (a Naruto AU with a long way to go at the moment). Good luck to you in all your endeavors. I'll still be watching for new chapters of this, just in case you change your mind and are inspired by your loyal and patient fans to continue it. _

Although, I am quite sad that u may not finish this, it's understandable; getting tired of a certain fandom. But, I say that u still keep it up, 1. B/c it's one of the best stories I've ever read on here, if u aren't into that fandom anymore, there may be moments where u feel like 'Hey, I'm suddenly in a Yu Yu Hakusho and/or Harry Potter mood and feel like updating that story' (lol, happens to me for some of my fics) and end up writing another chapter.

I'm glad that u gave that synopsis though, I ate up every word of it. I just Needed to know what happened. Thank U, my curious appetite is now satisfied. X)

I hope to find other great stories like this one, and of course the first one 'The Best Defense', floating around here on fanfiction.

I'm sad to see that this story will not be finished, especially since The Best Defense was one of the very first fanfiction stories that I read and the very first YYH/HP crossover I read. Thank you for all of the hard work you put into this series. It will always be one of my favorites.

Ah, the wonderful-ness of this chapter is sadly overshadowed by that sad announcement - but let me review this chapter first! Bad at parties - what are you talking about, the party scene was fine, not only did I understand what was going on, I could visualise it in my head (and I could wish that I was there). Love how Hiei is good at telling scary stories. And STAR WARS REFERENCES are like gold - they're rare and cherished. Loved how there were so many descriptions of the characters in their costumes, when it would have been easy to gloss over them (those descriptions really do make your work wonderful to read)

And now, I'll move on to my response to this sad announcement. It is sad, and you'll be sorely missed - I hope that you'll come back to this one day, find the love that this you once had for the fandom and complete it. But, we all move on. (Egad, we're all growing up so much, the world has changed so much even in just the last 6 years.) So, I wish you the best in your future endeavours, luck for the future, love for when you're feeling down, and the wish that we will meet again in fandom. Thank you very much for all your effort until now, your work has been and is always greatly appreciated, and a pleasure to read.
